You can still manage to find some windows with decent crowds and/or way less crowded spots. But yeah, mixing absolute beginners, clueless intermediates, pros training and aggravated locals can lead to some tricky situations.
Pretty much nobody fought for their wave, asserted themself, their right to wave ownership. Everybody seems pretty much care free, they don't care. Except for the guy at 2:52 he retains his rights, and manages to keep his wave.
Ideally the concepts of rotation and general etiquette are meant exactly so that you don't have to "fight" for your wave because everyone else knows their turn. Some of these are intentional, some are clueless and others are just criminal 😅
