That's so cool, i didn't knew you can make your own linetypes. I usually do various tube drawings so can i do one line type as one pipe size or is it not recommended.
Great video! Regarding the hashtags at 2:27, is there a way that they do not appear after setting up the field? I want to set up other fields ready for when we change to revision B but I do not want to see "####" all over the page when we submit revision A. So far when I go back into the DWT and add fields for the revision B, it does not populate for the existing files in the sheet set manager. It was input exactly the same and I regen the drawing. It does appear when I create a new sheet.
Using Civil 3D 23 and I've watched about 20 videos trying to explain this, especially the most recent ones and this is the only one which succeeded either way for using mtext with fields and using attributes with fields, and not only that it works both ways (in testing). Great stuff, thank you.
Even to this day its not possible to share views in different monitors, all other engineering design software have this features. Autocad dvelovers are too dumb to make it possible.

what kind of attribute is used for per sheet number? It cant use custom sheet properties because once the sheet number is changes its updated automatically; sheet number needs some other field's variable.

Hi, watch whole video many times, yet i can some things out. Any help would be appreciated. I am trying to make sketch macro (autocad LT 2020) ^C^C_sketch;T;P;I;1 that would make in theory, sketch with polyline and increments would be set to 1, but for whatever reason, i cant get it work, always asks for increments by specifing second increment point. Without increment set in macro, it does the same: ^C^C_sketch;T;P weather i use ; at the end or not, it doesnt metter either
Hello, great video. I have an existing block with attributes. When I open the dwg to update the attributes I can't figure out how to add fields to the existing attribute definition. Seems I have to rebuild the whole thing.. Any ideas?
How would you add the Current Sheet Title to the title block using Sheet Sets & Fields? I cannot get the "CurrentSheetTitle" Field to work correctly, or any of the "CurrentSheet" fields to work for that matter... Any hep is appreciated!
You said "total sheets will not update..." ? That was one of few reasons I revied similar training videos for last 12 hours. I still don't understand the purpose of sheet sets. I thought DWGPROP is just a tool for adding custom fields. How hard for Autodesk was just create a field for sheet count???
Thanks for the tutorial. On video 1 when you created data for 'Sheet Custom Properties' that was for each individual tab under the 'Sheet Set Properties' tab (Cad, Eng, Scale), the data did not show up once you pressed Ok and Re it and it didnt affect the data and only through attribute editing they would change. My question is that whlie it is only changed through attribute editing, these variables also exist on sheet set properties?
Im having trouble with the layer properties. usually when it u click on it the drop box opens below the ribbon but now its fixed to the top above the ribbon. Is there a way to adjust it?
Hi Brandon, thanks for this information and sharing. You mention doing cabinets and I have watched about 20 ppl do videos on Dynamic blocks, but none of them touch on the issue I am having. I am working on a Kitchen Cabinet (the front frame of the cabinet box), there are 2 upper drawers over an opening for double doors below. To the right are 3 drawers. The drawers are not an issue for me when "stretch" is used, but how do I get the upper drawers to stretch to the right sizes, when I need the left side of the cabinet to stretch? I need the upper drawers to maintain their width, (exact same with for each drawer opening) with 1 3/8" in between. perhaps you have another video out there... Thank you! Lisa
