So happy to hear that you liked it :) ! I didn't do it in the video, but the spread should be separated a little bit in the center after you place it (on the bottom) so the control is even more convincing. - Biz
Once you purchase you will truly appreciate what Liam Montier has created for the beginner to the pro. And once purchased you will be making it in a few other decks too. Because I like it so much I made it in Bicycle rider decks blue and red bicycle mandarin. COPAG 310 blue and red. Phoenix red and blue. and because I still use them PIATNIK classic red and blue so now armed and ready to entertain spectators and fool some magicians too.
I absolutely love peeking at cards. I normally just do controls to not have to worry about looking and getting my effect done without knowing their card. But THESE are just wonderful.
The magnificent seven Punch peeks ( No real punches involved ) Pinkie and other method's to put into your card routines loads I had not seen before ♣♥♠♦
G'day mate, it's f%#king freezing here in Australia being winter. Thanks for the tips,I learnt heaps. I cracked up with your punch in the face intro. Cheers Biz.
Loss of sound at 22.57 -24.16 shame. Great ten question relaxed conversation with background into his routine/act .a bit of sponge history from this old magic geek Jesse J. Lybarger Lybarger first featured the “sponge ball trick” around 1925 when he performed his routine for an IBM ring in Pennsylvania. He first marketed his “Phantom Balls” in 1925 in The Sphinx and Linking Ring magazines. I first learnt using Albert Goshman multiplying sponge balls using a steel half shell coated with sponge material the balls where orange in colour I think I purchased from Supreme magic
We apologise about the loss of sound at that mark. It should not have happened since the file is completely fine. RU-vid has been acting strangely with uploads these past few months. Thank you for the short spongeball history as well ! - Biz
Just keep practicing and it will become more natural. Naturalness is a characteristic gained in time, not just by knowing the method. You have to forget you are palming a card and always remember that your audience has no idea what you are doing. I have seen people execute horrible palms and still get awat with it because they were natural about it. - Biz
You are a really good instructor. Your use of the clear plastic cards to show what’s going on under the spread made it even easier to understand. Nice job and thank you. 😊
This hits really hard. The excellent tutorial by Liam Montier thoroughly covers the handling of the cards to make the effect seem very casual. Another set of beautiful Dead Rebel props. Having the shading of the background on the images is really brilliant and a great convincer when spreading the cards.
Dead Rebel makes some of the best "vintage" style effects available. Simon Duggan has created a beautiful set of 26 cards that allow for a non-playing card 'Out of This World' that has a meaningful reason for separation of the cards. Video tutorial by Liam Montier gives three handlings with the final one his remarkable, seemingly off-handed presentation of OOTW. The recording of Amanda Cole's great-aunt talking about Amanda's abilities adds that feeling of authenticity to the back story of 'thermo-optic vision.' This is a softer take on OOTW than Dead Rebel's other beautiful set of cards, "Angels & Demons."
Terrific set of props. So easy to do with a great video tutorial by Liam Montier. I have used all of Dead Rebels effects and this one is simple and straightforward with a very creepy plot combined with beautiful cards. I printed the included pdf file on some “aged” paper to add to the feel.
