Accuquilt really helps me to make great flying geese blocks, especially when yiu remember to add the seam allowances to the fabric stack before cutting! I goofed and didn’t but somehow the pieces managed to fit!
Your a great teacher. Learned today about rough cutting fabric to fit the die. Will have to get out the ruler pre-cut the fabric, instead of just laying the fabric on the die and wasting a lot of fabric.
I made a Google Doc. to keep an inventory of my Accuquilt products. I listed categories: QUBES, etc HST QST Squares Strip Dies BOBs Applique I list them alphabetically in each category This is very helpful. I even found all the circles on different die boards + listed the size + which board so I can use them more easily.
I love my Accuquilt machines (yes I said machines - I have all three!) and dies! I cut squares and HST for a quilt for my granddaughter and they came out perfectly!
Ok, I loved watching Chris give a clear and concise demonstration of the use of the Go Me Accuquilt cutter. Also, his advice on reading/following pattern instructions and verifying that all of your pieces are ready before heading to the sewing machine. GREAT SHIRT - is the fabric just for Accuquilt "uniforms" or will it ever be sold as yardage for those of us who love Accuquilt products????
Definitely TA-DA! I have always struggled with the mitered corners. I consider myself a reasonably intelligent person, but mitered bindings are the bane of my existence! ....Not any more!! THANK YOU!
The directions are remarkably UNCLEAR! When arranging the pieces at approximately 40:47, inconsistent words and placement of the partially pieced fabric does not accurately provide direction of piecing instructions. I would like instructions, not gossip about weddings.
Yes. Each cube has the same shapes, only different size. Your project would just come out bigger. So, follow along and use the shapes Chris mentions. Of course, you will need more fabric since your 12” cube is bigger. I have the Go Big cutter and it will handle all the dies. Good luck. This pattern looks like fun.
Is t the sewing machine going the wrong direction in the Dresden Plate project (first one shown)? It really bothers me when I see pattern like this even though thr idea is great - just printed this one out but I’ll orient the machines the correct way! 😊
Chris, you did a fantastic job explaining everything, this not just for beginners also a refresher course. Sometimes you pick up new tricks or ones that have been forgotten. 😊
Chris did a great job. Keep in mind beginners are at many levels and you have to cover everything. I always feel you can learn from everything and if it’s something you already know, it just reinforces it. Don’t trash the presenter!!!😡
