Every time the flight is delayed and the announcement eventually comes up they say mechanical issue - could be tray that won't stay upright - doesn't matter the excuse - I KNOW that the flight isn't going to happen. I just had this happen again 6 months ago - 20 minutes after the plane pulled out they claimed the radio didn't work - utter BS - if the radio didn't work we wouldn't have gotten away from the gate. Then there was more BS about them getting a mechanic. 2 hours they finally returned us to a gate. Another 2 hours before the next flight.
Maybe next time they'll blame the delay on the in-flight snack machine malfunctioning! Hang in there, and hopefully, your future flights are delay-free.

Please temper your description by mentioning human factors, such as poorly maintained aircraft and poorly trained pilots which were large contributors to the downing of these 737’s.
Because it’s $$$ and trouble for the pilot , if it rarely happens better safe then sorry . They dump all kinds of fuel at air bases and airports that actually go into ground waters at traceable amounts. That’s human error sometimes.
