COME FROM AWAY takes you into the heart of the remarkable true story of 7,000 stranded passengers and the small town in Newfoundland that put their lives on hold and opened their homes to this world of strangers. Cultures clashed and nerves ran high, but uneasiness turned into trust, music soared into the night, and gratitude grew into enduring friendships.
Don’t miss this breathtaking show, written by Tony nominees Irene Sankoff and David Hein and directed by two-time Tony nominee Christopher Ashley (Memphis), that Newsweek cheers, “It does what the best musicals do: takes you to a place you never want to leave.”
On 9/11, the world stopped. On 9/12, their stories moved us all.
On tour all across North America. ComeFromAway.com
I’ve seen it live twice and I’m seeing it again in November. I listen to the soundtrack a lot and I can’t tell you how many times I’ve watched the video on Apple+. It lifts my spirits. I’m disabled and have been homebound for more than two years due to Covid . I’m immunocompromised and I’m not ready to die yet.
Yes, but in the US we’ve gotten so far away from this, we’ll never come back. This is why I cry through the whole musical. People are just not this caring. They are not this nice.
@@treehugger9809 Do you mean the guy playing (as an instrument) the ugly stick or the guy playing (as the character) the ugly stick? I initially thought it was the latter and got a chuckle out of it 😄.
I saw this in Toronto with my school and it brang me and me teacher to tears .... I wish the kevens stayed together 😥..this musical played with my emotions so much and now is my favourite musical ive ever seen
I saw CFA in December with my musical theatre club! And most of the people were original. Except chad wasn’t there and the other one wasn’t there I forget who, but that’s Okiee
It's so crazy yet it works a charm! I was not once confused and actually forgot the whole show was literally 14 pieces of furniture on a stage! Brilliant and genius!
My husband and I lived in Newfoundland for 2 years and 10 months back in the '60's. It was a very special time and place. I can fully appreciate this inspirational story.
