Is this footage from "Eat The Document"? I believe so, I think I've seen it before. Dylan and his band-mates and entourage all wore the same style sunglasses in 1966. I guess they all wanted to look like their leader!
When you take LSD, you don’t know what it is. It could just as well be a drug developed in a weapons lab. Fact. The CIA was into that field of psychological warfare big time in the 1950’s and 1960’s. Jacobs Ladder is a movie well worth watching
I was never a big fan of Dylan's singing, but love his lyrics. However, I was always a huge fan of Robbie Robertson and The Band. I like Dylan here playing and singing with Robbie.
Peter Green did an extensive interview with NME when he left the band detailed in the link below. He was very articulate, and not at all mentally ill. It's a shame that the rest of the band lied about him, and trashed his reputation because of musical disagreements. Music is subjective, and it's obvious with the catchy pop anthems Mac made after he left that they wanted no experimentation. Here's the REAL story. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-vexvZe_xx8w.html
Sounds like Peter was justifiably proud of his experimental performance, and the rest of the band just wanted to make crappy pop music. He didn't go "mentally ill", he got wise, and got out of the corporate music business. Green Manalishi was made after this event and is about how the band became a business all about money, of which he wanted no part of. It was over the heads of the rest of the band - I would have quit too. Fame is overrated and is terrible for true art. Peter Green was a genius ahead of his time.
I am willing to believe that they took STP which was circulating after LSD became illegal and had a bad reputation, I remember the word was out to be careful and NOT fuck with that stuff which had freaked a bunch of folks out with nasty results, I think poor Pete and Danny took that shit..
I took LSD once. didn't do anything at all for me or to me. didnt sleep for a day and it did go 3-D'ish, that's about it really...i was like, whoopie........... no flashbacks......must have been or COULD'VE been a weak hit of Acid, don't know, i didn't have any experience to use for or against it relative to any others lol
As a (male) speaking I can tell bob was flustered here. This woman’s intelligence and patience and understanding couldn’t help but affect any guy. Even a genius like Bob felt a little shy
Thanks for this, Helen had a huge influence on me playing the violin. After decades of listening to different violinists playing in rock bands, she is still the one who did it best.
❤we know of the risks yet we take the trip anyway 😮many people i have known over the years definitely over endulged with to much excessive use and unfortunately never quite came back from that lifestyle peter chose his path but like bb king said Peter's tone was amazing its sad we lost such a prodigy Peter could have been so much more ,but the music he did leave me enlightened and gave me inspiration to play guitar 🎸 in the moment we know Peter never intentionally planned his over indulgence it was the scene back then it could drag you in really deep the sex the sex and the sex with drugs and rock n roll yah 😂😂😂
The original Fleetwood Mac were an excellent blues band , almost perfect but nothing good lasts forever. I was only 13 when I first heard them and 15 when Albatross went to number 1. Peter Green & Danny Kirwan were a great pairing . 👍👍
Why is Mick Fleetwood speaking for John McVie when John is sitting beside him? Can't he speak for himself? The whole situation was extremely weird. Neither Peter Green nor Danny Kirwan fully recovered from their acid trips. Sadly, both are now deceased. At least Peter recovered sufficiently to enjoy an Indian Summer at the end of his career.
