Another lovely video Kathy - thank you. The trees are hardly moving at all which is great. The music reminds me Ludovico Einaudi - do you know his stuff? Cheers 😊 D
Wow. Several flavours here. Future Sounds of London, Jean Michel Jarre ......loving it. Thanks. ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-HPPzQgTaLbo.htmlsi=02aXqKSvmTdzkFYK
@@CloudsatKathys Nice YT clip - thank you. He's a talented chap for sure. I saw him play at the Barbican a few years ago and he's returning this week. Very exciting. I had a few extra tickets for Saturday, its a shame you're not local - I'd happily have given them to you and Mark. 😊 D
@@CloudsatKathys Hi Kathy, listening to it properly on headphones the music sounds distorted. It could be that the sound level is set too high when you added the music to the time-lapse footage. Within the software you should be able to lower the level - what software do you use? D
Awesome video with a great soundtrack! 🤩 I especially liked the transition into the evening and the star appearing, as well as the interesting tree/skyline that was apparently only moved by a very gentle breeze on the ground - I've noticed that 'shaky trees' can be very distracting in my videos.
Thank you Andrew. I am surrounded by trees, it's often difficult to avoid them. I pay for Epidemic Sound and enjoy matching music to videos. Thank for subscribing :)
@@CloudsatKathys Better trees than power lines and billboards! I'm lucky in my current place on the 16th floor, but in past places, it'd have been all trees, power lines and more. But that video caught a magical time. Movement & interesting forms in the sky, while the foreground below was almost still, with just a bit of twitch and flutter to a leaf or twig here and there to add interest.
I might have mentioned that for 30 odd years I've been craving a skyscape, If I didn't have it now, this video would probably make me cry. I like this chanel a lot! x
Hi Kathy, really lovely - thank you. You can see the camera’s auto-exposure adjusting every 3 seconds or so until it gets too dark for the meter. If you wanted to avoid these exposure steps you’d have to use a camera where you can turn it to manual - for exposure. Manual focus would also be useful for these cloud films. The next step perhaps? Anyway, enjoying these very much as they are. Yes, I agree Murphy, good music choice! 😊 D
Thanks Mr E. It's my Samsung S20FE phone. I'd need to use an SLR set to manual (even a Go Pro attempts to manage the exposure). Maybe if the channel ever becomes monetized (only 976 subs to go ) I will look for suitable equipement. A few weeks ago I search Google for solutions and found a YT video of a guy standing above Lion Gate Bridge in Vancouver using an iPhone, a Go Pro and a ?Canon SLR. SLR won, hands down. What was nice was, I went over Liongate Bridge last May. It was so good to think, oh! I know where he is. What I might do (ducks head and awaits incoming) is see if I can add a Buy me a Coffee to this channel since I am spending money on it for the Epidemic Sound sub. Bon soirée.
@@CloudsatKathys ALL my recent time-lapse videos use a GoPro (Hero 9) and I allow it to handle exposure. That works well on night mode time-lapses and transitions from night to day - very smooth adjustment of exposure.
@@CloudsatKathys I think you'll /love/ it. I control mine with a phone or tablet, so I can see the field of view on a larger screen (easier to get it level!).
Hmm, stunning. I think it’s because the wind is blowing the clouds directly away from the camera and how blue the sky is and how fluffy the clouds are - it doesn’t quite look real. Beautiful, thanks Kathy 😊 D
We had a similar moon last night. Sometimes covered by cloud and then shining brightly. On the night of the full moon rise I go down to the beach to watch it come up and shine a path across the sea.
Thanks David. I forgot to mention the music in descripton. Have done so now. ES_Fjallsippa - Strom.mp3 - Epidemic Sound There was little wind and fewer branches in the frame so yes mire stable but compensating for light halfway through.
Oh I love the juxtaposition of the clouds with the shrarp lines of the vapour trails. Maybe the wind was buffeting the tripod & phone. Experiment hanging something heavy beneath the phone mount. You will get there. D
Thanks David. I had weighted the tripod this time. It was less windy today. I am almost certain it's the phone trying to focus on the moving branches. Oh and yes, am loving the vapour trails, looking like daytime shooting stars ☄
