Madison is a clean, beautiful, relatively crime fee city. However, the present Mayor has sold out the city to rich developers who have built super ugly housing pens. The look of the city is changing for the worse. Plus, there are constant loud polluting military F35 planes flying over. It doesn’t bode well for the future.
Thanks! A wonderful walking tour of the neighborhood where I grew up. Wicker Park. I remember all of these streets. I moved out of Chicago in 1995 but continued to visit my mother in Wicker Park until 2011. And fall was one of my favorite seasons.
😲 Chicago’s’ Wicker Park ’ community is a very attractive and thriving neighborhood exemplary of the growing problem regarding outdoor restaurant seating over-expansion into the pedestrian right-of-way. Understand that I’m all for Parisian-style outdoor cafe ambiance. However, there’s such a thing as ‘ too much of a good thing ‘ . There needs to be a respectful public/private sector balance. Nowadays, so many urban restaurant establishments have more outdoor seating than inside. As the result, sidewalk passage has gotten so narrowed in many places often forcing passersby to have to ease past seated diners or dodge crowds including waitstaff entering and exiting various ‘ brick-and-mortar ’ establishments. Not only that but outdoor dining & lounge spaces have overgrown to the point in which cities have permitted such restaurants to expand such additions onto adjacent streets. Which begs the questions of ‘ Who’s right-of-way is It? The public or private sector? ‘
Blimey. My dad was in British intelligence in ww2 in Egypt. He'd be turning in his grave if he knew the east end of today compared to when I was a kid in the sixties.
me and my highschool friends used to hang out on this street nearly every day, the amount of memories and nostalgia i get from this brings me so much joy
Spitalfields market is so nice when it isn't packed. During the summer months it can definitely get a bit overwhelming how packed the entire area becomes.
Thanks for making this video of walking around Ringgenberg and going up on the castle. This is where my family came from back in the 13th century. It's exciting to see it.
A beautifully designed midwest city that's both quiet and safe and lively and very family oriented in safe and beautiful republican state like Wisconsin
