great video! did they actually give you the flag to hold? LOL silly question I know but I see everyone with it. Did Quark put this together? I wondered what it looks like.
Someone took the flag, not quite sure if Quark did or someone else as there were a couple flags being passed around for everyone to take a pic with. And yes, Quark put the whole thing together! They do quite an amazing job.
When was this, Chris. I was on the same ship, same crew, in late November and early December 2023. We didn't have such lousy weather--I wonder if you boarded after us or before us?
Hey Oxi, our sailing was Nov 5th thru the 15th, so i'm guessing before you! But hey, lousy weather adds to the authenticity...at least that's what I keep telling myself! 🙂
@@chrissprague3805 --thank you,! I guessed it was either immediately before or after my trip because we had exactly the same expedition team (Bertie's group). We sailed on the 15th until December 3, but we did the entire Scotia Arc--Falklands, South Georgia, South Orkneys. So we got to the Antarctic in late November--we did not have as much snow and we saw lots of whales, fur seals fighting each other off for mates and a few pups). We had one bad day where the winds whipped up while we were on Penguin Island, and it got really scary returning in the zodiacs, but we had miraculously good weather the rest of the time, including the Drake Passage (the captain said it was the second smoothest crossing he had seen). It was my second trip with Quark and now choosing my third one--that expedition company is just the best. Incidentally, I loved your video especially the music. I wish someone from our trip did something like that. Thank you so much for putting it up!
