Neat idea for large parts but I wonder how feasible this would be on a large sheet full of small components.

Ray it depends on how small is the component. The easysnap works perfectly because it cuts into 66% of the material (33% on each side) so a small movement by hands lets you cut it and avoid burr or secondary operation due to a microunion. But on the case you say, perhaps you could use a blanking tool instead. Even if you have an forming made on that piece, the blanking tool can be manufactured with a relief for such a case.
