I stumbled across this level by complete accident in the remaster and man it's like a pinnicle of this game ideals in a nutshell. Great Artwork, Sprites, Asthetics combined with some of the worst level design imaginable
Watching this made me not want to do a speed run I woukd never figure half the levels out but thanks to this. I at least beat the game uninstalling never touch again. Lol

I like this game. The Rapa Nui-Level was very challenging for me, but sometimes there are maps you can exit them early. I like that this is real 3d, so you must fly above to continue game or down. PO'ed was weird in the 90s. but in the end a funny game.
Thought on very hard difficulty? maybe give walkthrough guide on very hard? (i didnt try much, but on Transit its already seems hard, you only have to kill amazons/turret, but considering there are 6 amazons and 4 turrets, the enemies respawn, and instead of hitting you for 2 damage they hit you for 5-10 damage, there are 30-50 enemies with aim/wall hack, killing "only" those 10 seems like already near impossible on transit, because of others who shoot you and strafing doesn't seem to help, since fired upon from all 3 levels). The levels before it, i managed to "lure" enemies, focus on health/speed rather than killing etc. But transit.. Shame very hard has infinite monsters. Fully stocked achievement is STILL bugged (as of 29/6) Without preparing, i know lattice/puzzle together will take 5-10min even if one knows all rooms/triggers/etc. Still very impressive run, doubt many po'ed player will get it even after 3 full walkthroughs.. (because of lattice/puzzle)
Last level could have saved 20 seconds, because you need to kill only 3-4 spiders to open the door. Lattice and Puzzle are the worst levels in the game (fun wise), no creativity whatsoever. They should make Extra Speedrunner achievement of 14/15 minutes , would be amazing to watch ))) Great job, looks great overall, even learned from you that on Arena you have to kill all Arnies to unlock the doors. Now go for 100% kill monsters :)))) if you got the patience that is, because some levels are very tricky to get 100% (enemies stuck in walls possibly ?) 100% challenge seems to start at Shuttle (spawn trigger points after 2nd shuttle), Alley (impossible - i retried at least 6 times different days and methods), and 2 more sneaky levels where 100% takes some time).
Hey, since you are the only one who played the game BACK in the day and on twitch recently (i watched you), i can't get 100% kill on this level, tried 4 different times, ALWAYS one missing. I can't shoot the entire map, in hope of hitting the only monster that might have been stuck in the wall or something. Thoughts? Can you try to get 100% on this level?
I just finished the remake now.Man, I finished it just because I'm addicted to boomer shooters and, I'm some way, I felt it was my duty to get to the end of it but honestly...what a horrible game it is.
I have played so many FPS games in my life...and honestly, this game has the worst level designing I have ever seen. Honestly, navigating most of them is an absolute headache.
I ended up unlocking the speed run achievement even though I beat the game in about 6 hours, taking my time killing as many enemies I could. How the heck did that happen? Either it's a bug, or the achievement is worded wrong and it actually means you have to stay under 20 mins per missions. Cause I don't think I ever spent more than 19 minutes in a mission.
There is currently a bug in the main version where the achievement does not keep track of hours (only minutes and seconds). It has since been fixed which will be in the first patch (which can be accessed sooner currently as the public beta branch on Steam) for the game.

Has someone managed to find the way out of Soleri?? I don't know what it takes to get out of there...in general I'd say I like this game but the level design is soooooooooo poor 😒😒😒 I don't want to end up cheating but I guess I'll have to use the password. Goes without saying I'm playing the Nightdive studios remake .
@@TheSeriousCacodemon Oh thank you, man. I knew it had to be something like that because that's what happened in past levels but I've been struggling that bad (normal difficulty mode, let alone hard or very hard...)with ammo and jet fuel that I couldn't get them killed before I was the one being killed. In the end I've just given up, even though using the passwords dragges you to the easy mode I'd rather get this game finished and move on rather than keep struggling with it. This game is still broken in so many ways, and I have had enough of the poor enemies & levels design.
@@loveshovel5748 I don't know how someone could manage to beat this game back in the day...regarding that, sometimes, you just have to shoot at walls just to find your way out of the level (which is the case). I'm enjoying this game but honestly, I guess the developers were quite high while doing his job.

not very alive , not too complex - i'll wander the forest this afternoon with a little more caution than usual ( and a chainsaw perhaps ? ) details like these add a lot of Class to the Wad , just like the tainted & ruined reuse of Vanilla locations in Argo's DitA at least in the modding community , godlike creatures definitely exist 😎
