Funny how you turned on the noise assist feature and the voice at 44:58 said "Turn that ___ing sh_t off." I guess someone else in the room doesn't like that plugin? LOL.
love my mixpre 6II! but, i wish the GUI was easier!......as a musician any improvement of the musician plugin would be greatly appreciated! good video!
Currently i have the tascam model 24. Now in my studio i want to buy the AVANTIS as my mixing console desk. What prevents this console from becoming my recording desk? I record my guitar while singing to record my songs. Thanks for this video!!
May I upgrade my Tascam 24 channel mixer to Avantis with waves &Dante cards focused on mixing & recording studio album project. Also live online streaming channel.
I am upgrading my recording studio. Replacing 24channel Tascam to dLive s7000. I may use the s7000 for studio environment? I want Dante and waves card okay? Also I will use waves broadcast audio plugins and black magic design web presenter for a web streaming channel. The sclass 7000 can handle this work flow?
Got a mix-pre 6i a couple of weeks ago. Only complaint is the manual is not great. A map of the menu items would be a good addition. I am an amateur musician. I record choral groups that I sing in, so I like that I can set it up and go sing.
Thank you guys for doing this. Amazing products from Sound Devices. I have been in love with my 302 for years and now wanting to add the MixPre 6 ii. This video helped a lot. Cheers, fellas!
@@davidknight754 why would you tell someone to use ¼-XLR? That's a nightmare. But the SQ has 4 ¼ inputs labelled Stereo 1 L, Stereo 1 R, Stereo 2 L, Stereo 2 R. These can be set to use as 4 mono inputs
41:30 You can actually reset a single band. Just hold down the reset button, and instead of hitting a button on the display, you simply tap the fader up or down towards 0, and it will automatically zero itself.
I saw this on Letterman I think...No wait, he dropped a gallon of milk on to the pavement from atop the Ed Sullivan theater. The pavement won in that experiment.
