You can find here all kinds of Ps Vita related videos that are mostly focused on the Homebrew side of things with some occasional other Handheld sprinkled in🙃
Hey I hope you are having a great day . I just want to ask you to make a guide to how to download blasphemous on ps vita , i tried to follow the guide in the official GitHub page but I am facing an error as I am unable to launch the game 😞
I might dabble in changing out the screen and joysticks in a near future. I have the white Vita. I never knew how much I would like the system. I like it better than the Switch to be honest.
These phones are the things i would love to collect. Because im a Nokia collector📞📱☎️📳 Btw, These phones you have are very cool! Especially the Nokia N95. The N95 was a huge sucsess for nokia.
@@ZealousChuck Not trying to disrepect you man but it wont crack, I have installed these screens multiple times, you just force the screws to thread exactly as they would have done it at the factory. By removing plastic it makes the threads weaker increasing possibility of stripping it in the future.
I also made this replacement a few weeks ago!!! i think it was with the link you posted on twitter so thank you very much!! blue is definitely gorgeous 🔥
The screw hole issue seems kinda sketchy, but when I got aftermarket shells for my Game Boy Advance and Game Boy Color, the screw threads weren't made in them already, so the screws go in kinda rough the very first time. It seems like a quality control issue that ideally they would improve on, but for cheap chinese stuff you just gotta take what you can get sometimes. I think the black buttons were the right choice, it looks nice to have a bit of contrast.
This is a real Sony screen, not a knockoff, none of them come pre-threaded because you are supposed to create the threads with the screw to have the tightest possible fit for the threads... It's easy to do if you have a quality screwdriver bit that is the right size.
Thanks for watching 🙏 black were definitely the right choice. It fits nicely even with black rear side but would change it if I could for blue. Maybe I'll put there skin. Ive seen blue one
Hey Chuck, it is interesting with the screw holes not lining up properly. Goes to show these replacement screens on Ali now are not OEM. Or then again, another possible theory is that these are OEM but since Sapphire Blue and Crimson Red are the rare Pokemons of OLED (with special battery connector and motherboard) then may as well have special screws for their special screw holes. You can only tell for sure by comparing the screws of an original Sapphire Blue Unit to those of Black-White-Silver.
All the screens sold on Aliexpress are legitimate Sony Screens, They do not come pre-threaded because you are supposed to create the threads with the screws so it is a snug fit. It's actually really easy to thread them when you have a good driver like the Ifixit. What he did, digging out plastic is absolutely not necessary and probably not a great idea.
Only the Complete Shell Kits that do not come with a screen are fake. When shopping for a new screen it should come preinstalled with the front shell half like the one in the video, they are all left over Sony screens, when shopping for the back half of the shell it should come with a preinstalled touchpad and aplastic protective sleeve covering the sticker that you have to peel off, those are real back shells... If you see parts with no screen or no touchpad they are fake.
I once reshelled a PSP 1000 to put an IPS and battery mod in, and whilst the end result looks nice, I'd never do it again. The PSP shells are such crap quality and it was a nightmare trying to get the shell to align. I had to use the back section of an original PSP in the end, but even the buttons were awful. And then of course there is the nightmare of getting it fastened down without trapping any dust behind the screen. It was pure stress.
I think that's like an aftermarket shells right? Cuz I can imagine those wouldn't fit properly. I ve always just swapped shells and buttons from og psps but the colours were limited
@@ZealousChuck Yes it was, they're all bad. It's only the faceplates that are of ok quality. But the PSP with how old it is, is limited to finding parts for it. I sometimes look at Ebay in the hopes of finding a good quality white PSP 1000 that is broken, so I can use the faceplate. But they're always scratched, always knackered in.
That's super cool! Now add a USB-C and it will be perfect! I did a similar mod to my 3DS, I just soldered two cables, one to v-bus and the other to ground. It could be done the same with the Vita, it would be a bit harder if you wanted to preserve data transfer as well (in my case I usually use FTP with VitaShell)
