@@Getting-On thanks - I definately wont be buying in, I cant stand the std 1300 and was hoping the gsa would be inspiring but for me its an even bigger fail so the 1250 is my last for sure. I just find the aesthetics of the new bikes awful, its mostly the very poorly executed slab of cheap plastic covering the cruise "radar" sensor but there are other areas too which I find quite disappointing. They will go well for sure - as they should - but not for me. For big money I expect a tertific looking machine I want to look at but this I would just use like a car as a mode of getting places without giving a second glance ..... but I would actually give it more than a second glance and be thinking its ugly as fcuk ... 😲 ! Thats not biking,.... to me anyway.
This was first time I heard "predator headlight". I was going to trade my 2022 r1250gs for the 1300gsa. But instead I bought another ugly vehicle. A 2025 BMW m440i. Everybody the hated m440i when it first arrived in 2021. Because it was ugly, myself included. Same with this GSA. I'll grow on you, then you'll like, then you'll crave it.
@@jimthompson717 compare to the predators teeth, sort of look the same, plenty of pics for comparison, BMW are not noted for pretty things, but the ugly grows on you. Id never give up a bike for a car, unless necessity insisted. I’m trying to grow the channel, id really appreciate a like and a new subscriber.
I sold my 2014 GSA because, much as I liked it, in traffic it was just too wide low down. Why are the crash bars so wide with that odd loop attached? An anti-cyclist device? Sorry, but this is what Frankenstein would make.
They are a wide bike alright. The wings on the low crash bars are to remove the need to upper bars, and a bonus as a better leg rest. On bikes we have the ability to give the cyclists a wide hearth so not an issue there. Bar the S1000RR all other BMW motorcycles are ugly, but someone needs to love the ugly child. I’m trying to grow the channel, I’d really appreciate a like and a new subscriber.
There is a bit of that. BMW are disrupter’s and always break convention with their designs, I’ll get a test ride shortly and will try the manual and auto version and you never know this old dog might learn a new trick. I’m trying to grow the channel I would appreciate a like and a new subscriber..

And…did you end up using the inner bags? I assume the purpose would be to remove the contents with the inner bag and leave the rest of the rig on the bike.

I see you have a top, thinner forward strap on top of the seat. I am looking to buy these bags and put them on a T7 under the seat as you did. I have room to fit the wider two strap under the rack bars where I see you did not and needed to make the modifications. My question is where did the thinner top strap come from? Did you add that one? I do not see it in other photos or videos.
@@trailrunnermike Thanks for your comment, all the straps are standard with the Enduristan Blizzard luggage, the big ones are for the throw over, and the small ones are for holding in place to the bike. It’s a bit of overkill and there is way too much length in all the straps, but they are universal and some bikes are bigger so more length is needed. The small straps have metal hooks on the end which i had to heat to bend out to fit my rear rack. It’s great luggage and im very happy with it. One downside is it’s a pain to remove quickly, a base system that stays on the bike with quick release would be better. I also bought the headlight and engine housing protection from AliExspress like you. The "GB Racing" housing protection didn't fit me because the expansion tank was in the way of the cooling, I think the Acerbis engine protection is a bit better. The rubber grip pads from China are supposed to come off again after a while. You can let us know if that's the case. best regards

I also have the Extreme, but unfortunately there are some disadvantages that I don't like very much. The original Yamaha crash bar can break the engine in a crash. There is no steering damper for this model, neither from Yamaha nor from other manufacturers, that can be legally driven on the road in Europe. The high Rally seat cannot be exchanged for a low standard Yamaha seat because it doesn't fit. The aftermarket only offers very uncomfortable low seats, such as Seat Concepts. I don't like the T7WR because of the big tank, but it has a more comfortable wider seat and the seat height is lower, and an integrated crash bar. That's why I love and hate my motorcycle, because of all the design errors from Yamaha.
@@regarolt1691 I only learnt about the OEM crash bar issues a couple of days ago, so not too happy about that, I agree on the seat the Extreme seat is noticeable more uncomfortable than the seat on the World Raid, and having owned one for 2 years I noticed within 10KMs. There is a Scott stealing damper ive see a lot of people using, i will check it out and if i buy one I’ll put up a video. I would not be buying any parts/accessories that connect to or interface with moving parts (Chain guides etc etc), or anything that replace bolts, screws or fasteners as the Chinese quality and tolerances is NEVER right.
