I'm new to the filmmaking world, didn't go to school for this so I am on a journey to become the best filmmaker/director. So I seek to share with you everything I am doing to be the best. Yes, we'll talk about gear and, most importantly, storytelling. Let's make an impact together with awesome storytelling.
Taking the leap without a backup plan echoes Nietzsche's notion of embracing uncertainty to forge one’s own path. Sometimes, true growth requires abandoning the safety net to discover our authentic selves and potential.
Mixed emotions, bittersweet. Had me worried for a minute too! Loved the video, the update on your life and I hope you're enjoying the new space. - I got out and shot the establishing, medium, and details I commented I'd get out and do based on what you recommended. It was good, bad, and funny. I made some mistakes in the timeline of the sequences. Things coming out of the bag in the detail got used in the establishing shot. Things that I'd normally do in the medium shot I just did in a really weird way. I learned a lot. Still making progress in getting videos made. 5 down, 5 to go to hit my goal. Seeing you making this high quality stuff, and talk about your process is a joy. Looking forward to seeing more.
Yeah my grandmother called me worried as well 😂 and she didn’t watch the entire video. Thanks for watching and updating me on your journey from one of my videos. I am so happy you are trying your hand at it and hopefully as you continue to do it because rote memory. It will become less weird and more natural to have you creat content. I’ll continue to pump out videos and further dive in to the creation process. Excited to continue this conversation and let me know when you post your first vid!
@@DanielJMadden yes sir, I’ve always felt out of place, and I’ve been displaced. I can’t keep blaming the world, nor do I want to. I’m looking to make a switch to get my autonomy.
@@DanielJMadden I’m a writer… I have moved to nature and I will write books create content. And learn the most efficient way to survive and still keep a few of the technologies we depend on. I want to modernize my life different than the social norm.
"Being both delusional & hyper-focused" @justbobbyt said it best! Thanks for having me be part of this video bro. Excited to see where this journey takes you! Super grateful that we were able to cross paths!!
Bro!! You have no idea man. It’s dope to be creating along side of you man and I’m still committed to getting this creators trip to Peru going within the next year
Haha, dope video, a significant update to the journey! You should do quarterly updates on this, but I love the breath of updates, stories, and people all around!
If you are wanting to follow me on my journey, don't forget to SUBSCRIBE. Looking forward to sharing, geeking out and everything in between. Also let me know what you would like to from me on this channel and I'll see if I can share.
Hi Daniel! I started making RU-vid videos again. I was reviewing my channel comments and saw one of yours on a video I made years ago. I'm happy to see that you're still making videos - you've come such a long way! Keep creating :)
I hear what you’re saying but everything within reason though. We can do whatever we want but we must always count the cost and figure out if we are willing to pay it.
@@DanielJMadden I imagine it is. I’m still in prayer. Sometimes the answer comes with action. Gotta trust YAHUAH totally without doubting. This makes me think of where I am and who I am really serving.
agree on battery - man where does it evaporate to? That said, I had it in the bag to shoot my son's wedding - along with my full frame, mics, etc - he got married in the mountains of Colorado and the hike to the first looks was insane....having the tiny camera and being by myself was a must - running up and down trails to get shots of groom and bride as they approached each other. The footage cut in nicely throughout the video and my son and his wife love the images from the camera - that was all the review I needed.
That’s literally all the review you needed but that is so cool you were able to capture that moment for your son and daughter in-law. As for the battery, I’m about to pick up another one on top of the 2 I already have because the battery really does drain fast lol. What are you using the camera for now?
@@DanielJMadden I'm a real estate photographer - I use it for a more affordable client option for social media walk throughs - mics up pretty well with the new Godox magic mics. Handles low light fairly well - great for the price I charge. I does nicely on a 20' painters pole for drone like shots on larger estates. I also use it in conjunction with the full frame camera to run it into running showers, sinks, tubs and swimming pools - motion into water with a scene transition coming out of another water item - like into the shower and out of the pool for example. I mostly use it with my dogs though ;-)
Same 😂 I was DONE and decided to fire that life. Changed my entire life and I think it’s cool that you had a moment where you realized you actually needed the entrepreneurial hustle and bustle. I did too and it feels amazing lol
I record and upload running videos and for the last couple of months, have been using this camera. It's a little heavier on the head, but by far superior to anything I used before it. It's the only camera i've recorded with that has resulted in people asking in the comments which camera I am using. Love it, zero issues with it and would recommend to anyone who values image quality. Cheers for the great video
There is more gold in this video than a dozen or so I've watched trying to figure things out with my old SL2. I had an Arsenal I bought years ago I've been messing around with and having nothing but trouble with. The Canon app for pairing to my phone is amazing. I'm going to go out tomorrow with my cheapo Tripod, frame up a wide, medium, and some detail shots that hopefully become evergreen content for me. Even if they don't... I'll be out doing, and it'll be fun. Thanks!
The algo dropped me into your "I quit my job with no back up plan" Life update video and I loved the way you speak. The energy. Everything. I poked around for more and this video spoke to me, because I see you walking the walk, even when the journey's got to be hard right now. I'm in the process of starting a RU-vid journey and have planned out several dozen videos. I have filmed and edited the first two and I like my storytelling, but didn't like the quality of my video. Your content seems like a great place to see some unique takes on improving that aspect and I will be back for more. I want to have 10 videos completed by the end of September here, and the way you described "bulk batching" crystallized something I'd seen another creator do but hadn't been able to put into words. Love your perspective and the personal storytelling in this video, hope to see more of them as I explore!
My advice is just post them and just continue to get better every post based on the feedback you are getting from YT and people that watch. Glad the algorithm brought you my way and I will have some more videos coming out soon!
@@DanielJMadden Looking forward to the videos! I did manage to get 3 recorded and I've done rough cuts for them so far. I didn't get out to film shots yet though, so celebrating the wins and looking forward to the weekend and another chance to get out and try again.
All creators need to factor in a 30-50% camera budget on accessories for their next camera pick. Between batteries, quick-release plates, tripods, etc., things can quickly add up while being necessary to capture the footage you need. Ace Pro is looking like another tempting accessory to add to the kit. Recently, I picked up a DJI X4 to capture more behind-the-scenes footage, but I think I would be more comfortable sticking it out of windows than the ACE Pro.
: I've got few questions. 1: The battery issue was only when shot in 8k right? 2: Battery backup, if shot in 4k 60....? 3: If there an ace pro 2 or something from insta 360, coming out soon, as the next camera and shall I wait for it? Yes, we do need another vedio of accessories. 🙏
Yeah only in 8K but I have a back up on at all times just in case. However, battery does last longer in 4k 60 for sure. Insta360 is so ahead of the game in my opinion that you came get this or the Action 4 and both would have been great choices. Go Pro is not competing right now, respectfully.
@@DanielJMadden: Good to know about the battery... Action 4 is great for a price but idk, its boring for me, in terms of the dji app experience and the features while using the camera.... Whereas insta is colorful in a way but accessories are expensive though...
@@everongaming In my opinion, I would go ace over hero because I’m getting a bigger sensor and more megapixels. The image quality will be better. I believe the ace is downsampling from 6k vs the Hero’s 5.2K. Plus the Ace is cheaper, isn’t it?
