I love videos like this! Also, I so wanna get one of those small black magic cameras. I always thought a black magic camera would be out of my price range, so this is awesome!
My first BMPCC is 10 years old. The sensor glass started to get foggy, so I sent it to Blackmagic UK for a repair job. Now it's as good as new and I bought a second one. The BMPCC has something magical to it. It's quirky, limited and flawed, but it has personality. It produces images that look like from a dream world.
Yep I addressed that in the video. Just cause I use some old gear doesn’t mean I only use old gear. I have a bunch of videos on my channel made with original blackmagic pocket.
i love the dreamy aesthetic to your photos!! do you mind me asking what type of diffusion filter you used? i also have a x100t but im struggling to select a filter for it
Not familiar with the paper you are using. I assumr it is blind to red light . I have done pinhole but with photo paper and then contact printed the results. Used all kind of things for cameras: coffee cans, cereals boxes, almost anything I could make light proof. Have fun a screw what anyone thinks
I'm 100% with you on the charm of the holga. Your images are gorgeous and clearly show how well you are fully embracing the quirkiness of it. Will check out your darkroom vid
PS - the third video I posted to my studio channel was about the holga ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-qb-S0rjQ50U.htmlsi=z87NqzGhVdvS8j8F
An oblique examination of the star scape in this film's opening frames revealed to this viewer what appears to be a humble constellation of icons by the likes of David Lynch, Robert Eggers, Stanley Kubrick, Panos Cosmatos, and Andrei Tarkovsky. That is your home.
I bought a BMPCC back in when it came out. Then I bought a second one back in 2018. Paired with some C-mount lenses, I just love the image. Glad to have found your work as it is inspiring and gorgeous. Keep them videos coming! Cheers!
Hey , Chris - good video mate, you make some absolutely cracking points about gear.. its almost as if sometimes people suddenly think a capable camera is worthless and useless because a slightly newer one has been released! Totally agree with this ethos!
