What's your ilvl? 1.14 m seems very low for a +11 group no? Im 626 ilvl now and i average around 1.5-1.6 overall in pretty much each dungeon. I feel like im still doing things wrong since there are dk's that overall 2 million ish!
yea this was definetly a mediocore to bad key from me I am in that same boat I do around 1.5-1.6 then if I am playing well I push up to the 1.8-2m but yea some of these really good players are above 2m constantly
We have no good Single target dmg we have no utility like in this example for the affix, now we got nerfed in AoE and every other random other class outdps you/us, BUT WE ARE FINE. ROFL
I mean I didn’t play the greatest in this key but yea it does suck getting nerfed but overall I think we are still very viable I think it opens the door to allow more classes to be used allowing people to play what they enjoy and not just the strongest class which I think is very useful for the game :)
Single target damage is fine, who cares about the affix, aoe is fine, utility and survivability are good. Frost is the top played melee dps in high keys.
I hate that the side nerfs made any chance of a shattered build obsolete. Really dont enjoy the breath playstyle. But obvioulsy Blizz has bigger issues than making DK have mulitple frost builds
@@omgadrood1 yea that’s definitely tough it was nice when there were 2 viable builds to play hopefully we see some changes that allow for more flexibility in play style
@@GrandMaster-BrodaI agree. Unholy is just more fun for me and Riders is objectively the best talent in the game. Being able to do all of your damage from range is pretty good too.
@@anderskjr1964 it’s definitely a lot weaker due to the nerfs directly effecting it but I’m sure you can still play it just probably will hit a ceiling eventually
I think it’s good for the game overall it brings all the classes closer together which allows everyone to play what they enjoy without having to stick to the hard meta comps also it didn’t hurt us too much we still blast
Really nice video man , im maining frost dk and learning breath and this was very helpful , I was wondering about the ghoul do you try to save it for single target? Or do you just pop it whenever you can, Also does blinding sleet interrupt? I saw you mentioning that you mass interrupted with it , I didnt know that you could 😅
@@elis435 ideally I try and send ghoul as much as possible I do tend to forget to press it, it is nice to have for boss fights tho And yea your blind can do 2 things, if you accidentally pull some ads and you don’t want them yet and your tank wants to keep them away you can blind them then not do damage to them for a few seconds and that will result in them staying put for a bit or you can treat it like a stun, and interrupt casts when you don’t have or can’t kick a target. :) damage does break the blind tho and not every mob can be effected by it
dude mele is always a good time you just kinda run around like a headless chicken trying to dodge 10000 mechanics at once while keeping maximum uptime on the mobs/boss :)
As a healer main, nothing makes me happier than DPS actually using their defensives to help us out. Thanks for the great video, I’ve been trying to gear up my alt frost DK but I a. Just terrible at playing him. Lol
@@_22445 I was just comparing to logs of some people better than me and noticing they weren’t using it either so I think it’s a dps loss overall however with the changes going live on Tuesday I believe that will no longer be the case as soul reaper is getting a buff

I really like this type of POV and voice over and talks about skill rotation live. It helps me a lot and trains my brain Can you do this type of video for all dungeon’s and raid!? I get confused on when to use breath and when to hold. I lose breath so fast bc boss mech that make me run around

@@codycook8835 I would say maybe 8s and up as packs start to live for an entire breath window however what’s more important than that is how much fun you are having playing the build :) if you enjoy breath play it that’s really all that matters
Love the vid, I rerolled fdk this season and am having a blast. Figured I would share the macro I use for Breath. It casts breath but doesnt allow recast of the ability (that usually stops breath). #showtooltip Breath of Sindragosa /cast !Breath of Sindragosa
Looking good overall, but if I may, you should maybe consider using ur Howling Blast more often in ur Breaths with the free procs, you should have time to benefit from the damage, when ur waiting for runes to get back - of course being in the range of 40+ of RP. But overall great video and very informal in regards to the frost playstyle, keep it up cheif!
@@jeremynaipaul5729 I have about 28% crit and 60% mastery and yea I think you can get close to bis on all hero track peices but trying to get those mythic tracks will help a ton too :)
@@The_Empowerment_Commander all my weak auras come from Noawh’s ui you can get the entire ui and auras from subbing to him on twitch it’s really nice :)
@@ctyler10889 most of my UI comes from Noawh and his ELVUi profile, in terms of add ons tho the important ones I use are big wigs and little wigs, omni cd, plater, weak auras. Then to add some extra to it I have a key add on (any work) details, MDT and twitch emotes cause that’s always a fun one :P
@@AnurekTV i spent lke 5 hours last night trying to setup elvui, i just couldnt get past everything being blocky/dark (world map, any quest or dialogue box, etc) I turned off most of elvui besides the unitframes and bars but everything still seemed to be blocky/dark

This is a really good format to watch. I do a lot of research to learn classes which is fine, but hearing what better players are thinking about when going through the dungeons is really helpful.👍🏼
Hey man, honestly the amount of mistakes, deaths, I avoided and overall utility I started bringing to the group once I stopped playing breath is not even comparable. I just don't have the brain power to focus in all of that AND keep breath going. I just go with razorice Obliteration build which btw sims higher than breath for AoE for me and Unholy Festering scythe for big pull keys which is even more dmg but lacks a bit in ST. I just leave BoS to the pros since it feels terrible in 2 minutes CD. Your trinkets don't really line up, so many people equip 2 on-use ones. It's very much dependent on organized pulls and the tank chain pulling to boost your dmg, and you lose focus from mechanics unless you are GIGA-brained, which I'm not. Give it a try, friend!
@@GrandMaster-Broda hey that’s awesome I’m glad you found a play style that works for you! At the end of the day as long as you’re enjoying the game that’s the most important part. I have tried the obliterate build a few times and I feel like I just overall just enjoy the breath build a bit more and provide a bit more damage overall throughout the key but I’m not saying it’s the right way it’s just I personally enjoy it more. I do like to go back to the obliterate build now and again to give it a try. I haven’t tried unholy yet but plan to in the future :) I appreciate the comment and your perspective thank you :)
Im new to the frost dk. Im facing a problem where I find myself out of resources a lot of times, so I keep just auto attacking. What should I do to improve as a frost dk?
@@yuripires9025 hey so I experienced this as well when I first started playing there are most likely 2 causes 1 you don’t have enough crit 2 you might not be spending runic power enough We have a talent that gives us back runes when we crit and one that gives us back runes when spending RP so it could be either or both of these

@@yuripires9025 hmm ok interesting, might be just over capping on RP a lot or just getting unlucky with procs there are times where you get starved but shouldn’t be a ton of times throughout key
@@brice9013 happy to help :) and all good it takes some practice! A huge part of our dmg and making the class feel better is having a good amount of crit, then just practice keeping breath up and you’ll be pumping in no time :)
I wouldn’t necessarily say it’s a skill issue as much as it’s a tank/group issue. While Frost is very strong, it’s very much reliant on cooldown windows and huge, tight pulls.
