I found this one just a year after release, I was in Krakow twice but both times I was able to do sightseeing only around train station :(, quite embarrassing considering I'm Polish, I hope one day i will come there for a few days to actually see the city.
After i'm done living abroad, I really want to move to Chicago! i've visited a few times, but it's so fun being taken around the different neighborhoods!
In summertime, the more North you go, the more daylight you get. During summer months in Lapland the sun never sets. Even in the southernmost Finland summer nights are not dark but just dusky.
Very nostalgic! I'll never forget 1818 N Halstead 🙂 I'm headed back next weekend and I'm looking forward to visiting some of my favorite spots. I also loved all the throwback pictures and videos, especially Aggie as a city dog! Looking forward to the next one 🌭🍕
It is because Western Tourists do not like Muslim majority countries. It is the reality. I am saying because this is what many have told me. Even though Albania is European and democratic.
6:30 My History teacher once told me, what Roosters are a monument to real Rooster which once saved Rīga. The story goes with something like this: "Once in Riga (it was almost completely wooden at time) started fire in the night. But one Rooster on top of tower screamed even in the night and woke up whole city and humans were able to extinguish the arson. And in the name of saviour of Riga at that time, government built a Rooster's statue on top of Saint Somebody Cathedral. That statue was destroyed a lot of times, but was placed back" WARNING! This information is from my memory and may be not true at all! It was too much years ago for me to remember! The only detail in which I'm sure on 100% and what I totally remember is that this statue, is statue of Real Rooster and not rooster from some book or not statue of rooster of some rich farmer.
Riga's local here. Rīga is definitely beautiful city. And deeper into the center you go, the more beautiful it is. I love our parks! I lived in The Center before, but now I live on other side of bridges. In Ziepniekalns. Here we have one (rennovated 4 weeks ago) park where I spent 1 hour of each day when I'm not at home. But Latvia has some dark sides too. For example hating Russians more than any other Baltic Country, even though 32% of ALL Latvian citizens (1,5 million) are Russians. Government blocks Russian language in education buildings, in kindergartens, in governmental buildings, banks. And formerly 90% spoke Russian in Latvia. Here are less and less of us (Russian speakers)... Also in WW2 a LOT of Latvians willingly joined Germany when Latvia was captured. Other half of Latvians hated other half that betrayed USSR and willingly joined those, who rapd, tortured, and killed Slavens. But still, Architecture here is really beautiful. Story of Latvia is not long, but nice. From tribes, to people under rule of Medieval Germanic Kingdoms, to civilized people. And because Latvia during whole it's story spent time with Russia and German-speaking countries, Latvian is similliar to both of them. Even though Latvian is Latin alphabet language, it still has some similar to words to Russian. And minimum 70% of WHOLE Latvia, is trees. Nature here is really beautiful. We have no Mountains (highest point is 300 meters), but we have nice and big forests, and nice beaches, and wonderful sunsets and sunrises.
Thanks for watching! Really glad you enjoyed the video. Chicago is a special place and we definitely agree it has to be included on the shortlist of best cities in America!
If you have the time and money you should save enough for a month of staying in the state of hawaii. Between the four islands you can easily spend the whole month and still no not see everything. A week is not enough, the first and last day is travel day (airport, hotel and a little rest) that means that you have at most five and half days of fun, so no matter where we travel to we try to stay for nine to ten days. Let's face it if you're going to spend the time and money why not a few more days and enjoy the trip .
That sounds like a dream!! We would definitely need to save up to stay that long, but we absolutely want to see the other islands!! I’m sure there is so much more to discover besides Oahu. We can’t wait to come back, absolutely LOVED our time there! You are definitely right, a week is not long enough 🥲
It seems to costs of living are rising everywhere, but it definitely seems accelerated in major American cities. We were surprised how much more expensive everything was even compared to when we lived there
Albania is beautiful, great place, amazing food, nice people, incredible beaches, high mountains 🏔️, fascinating history, beautiful architecture and unique culture. A MUST SEE! 🇦🇱🫶🏼🥰
@@MaxandSidney I currently live in London ( and Italy part time ) and even London is way cheaper than Chicago. Can’t wait to follow your next adventures . You two are appreciated.x
PSA: Belgians generally don't have a waffle habit at all. It's actually just a tourist thing. I'm Belgian, 38 years old. I don't know anyone who regularly eats "Belgian waffles". It's not something we have in our cooking or eating repertoire.
Buy a Deutschland Ticket. You will have to research it. You can travel everywhere in Germany S Bahn U Bahn regional trains also buses except NOT on the high speed trains for 49 Euros for 1 month. Go ask at the ticket shop at any station. You will need a German bank account. You can get one without an “anmelden” just research it.
Question please you 2 lovely people, I am 68 years old as a child aged 11 my late parents had a touring caravan, we travelled through Europe and visited Barcelona. I remember two things, there was a wonderful fair overlooking Barcelona which we kids had hours of fun at, no idea if it is still there, then turning to the food chicken cooked in brandy on a rotating spit which we had with Paella it was so wonderful I can still recall it today even though it was 1970 when we went there, I have to this day never tasted chicken cooked on a spit that even comes near to the magnificence of that moment and to add to the wonderful experience the Paella was out this world, I have never forgot that experience, can you still get chicken cooked on the spit in brandy and herbs? Thank you both as it is on my bucket list, bless you both xx
Thank you so much for watching! We are not sure about the fair, but I assume it’s up in the surrounding hills based on the way you described it! As for the chicken, we did some research and apparently that is something you can find in Barcelona! We wish we had heard of it before we went, it sounds amazing! Apparently Los Caracoles is a good place for it! We will definitely have to try it next time 😊
Nie pierogis tylko pierogi. 1. pieróg 2.pierogi 3.pierogi 4.pierogi. 5.pierogów 6.pierogów 7.pierogów 8.pierogów 9.pierogów 10.pierogów. Zapamiętajcie raz na zaswsze.
I'm excited to hear about your upcoming circumnavigation. I'm starting my round-the-world trip late next month, maybe we'll cross paths. But I'm going East via Germany and Poland, places you've already been. Looking forward to hearing about your adventure. Enjoy!
