You can ask questions. The market story is a very popular story in Uburu. If the market was built then, it would have attracted lots of business opportunities and improve the tourism sector in Uburu. Now that our Governor, David Umahi has built the Abakaliki International Market, can't you see how Ebonyians from across Nigeria are returning to trade and invest in Ebonyi? Imagine we had similar market built in Uburu before or immediately after independence.

Uburu you just made mention of was part Of Ohoazara(made up of Okposi, Uburu and Ishiagu) LGA in old IMO state, the only community known then was Ishiagu(because of their popular and recognized Pottery market and been the largest producer of Okra in old eastern Region and abundance of Natural resources according to my grand father they are known as ISHIAGU OKPUITE(the potters) which my grand father even said they migrated from Isiagu in Awka and settle presently in Agwu axis) and another place is Afikpo(home to Akanu ibiam). No one knows about the existence of Uburu (aside the indigenes and neighboring villages) I graduated from Ebsu and got to know the name because my friend and course mate is from Uburu. I expected the old man to say something about the migration of Uburu, what they do for living etc he diverted completely from the topic and was saying something off point just to praise a local village that is just waking up where many have gone far without advertising themselves, I regard such people as political old man. Please next time try and interview those old men in the community I know they have lots of them that are truthful but you will underrate them because may be they are poor but the fact they are the ones that knows the truth and you can learn a lot from them.
