Hows this build going? Have gotten the bell housing situation sorted. Very curious to see if it works as this will be one of the first engine swaps for it Tacoma that keeps the stock transmission and transfer case and allows four-wheel drive

Past smog, but failed because of a part how silly California can be I don’t know. I can only imagine guys that have the K 24 and they put a K 20 head on it here in California. How about if you put a high-performance cam in one of those cars will California reject registration on that?
@@rarewitit7899 You can have a high performance cam installed in California and it’ll be OK? Wife wants to get rid of her old 1999 accord and get a civic now, but I told her already if we get a Honda Civic that it’ll be half yours half mine, but I never told her about swapping up any kind of performance in it

Had an ep3 back in the day and absolutely loved it. It was my happy place where i could just hit up some backroads and clear my mind. Lost it in a flood though. Now i have grown man money and the time to build it how i always wanted. A better k is the way, a k24 is my choice but for a budget fun build an a3 isnt horrible. Airbox mod, coilovers, and some seat time and you can surprise some folks. In the turns ha. Not beating many in a straight line. Vtec killer a2 cams opens it up some while you save for a swap though. I just cant wait to get started on my new one!
How much money and time do you think you've put into it. I've been thinking about doing a similar build but I'm not finding many answers, either I get don't do it, it's gonna be a money pit. Or they just straight up say it can't be done.

I recently did a swap on my rsx I took out the k20 and put a k24a jdm In it tightened and connected everything and when i tried to drive it wouldn’t pass 3k rpms p0336 code came up on the scanner
Water pump you using the k20 one with the black peice in the side and the pipes for the k24 correct ? Because I want my car have AC and power steering too
@@rarewitit7899well, if you grab the immobilizer antenna, and have the ECU and the immobilizer, you should be able to clone the immobilizer on a ho01 key blank, or reprogram the immobilizer with an id46 chip. But it helps that I have a key tool.
@rarewitit7899 so since you used the auto dash harness did you had to do any pigtails for the clutch switch and the reverse light? Sorry for the question I'm also in the process of wanting to auto to manual swap my rsx
