That table is amazing! One word of advice I would offer.. your featherboard should always end before the blade, it has the potential to cause the wood to pinch on the blade where you have it positioned.
Sorry about that Rob. We've been messing around with the sound and I think I finally got some stuff figured out. I'm pretty good with woodworking, but my IT skills are severely lacking HAHA
What a great table, great work as always. The only thing might be the nose on the first horse but that's only because there is some mistake somewhere. Like your dad says you will go to the mistake all the time but if you don't tell anyone they won't see it.
You guys are blowing me away with these tables! Congratulations on expanding and taking routing to a new level. I can’t do something this big, but I sure can do a small one! Got a question my friend. you mentioned wonderful “fill sticks“ and that you left a link for them. I went through all the description stuff twice and I can’t find them. Apologies. Can you provide a link for the sticks, pls. I also went through your Amazon store and didn’t see them there. You got me thinking about getting a Harbor Freight router now. Watched you using it, and it seemed like it worked like a dream. Always love new toys. Sending hugs to all of you. Best wishes.❤
It looks like all your end grain is smiling the same direction. Alternate smiles and frowns. As wood dries it wants to straighten out. Quarter sawn wood is best to use. Also you're correct, you definitely don't want metal shavings in your eyes. You would have to get verified that theres no metal in your eyes if you ever need an MRI, it happens a lot if you're a welder.
Your best table yet. Thanks for your honesty on making mistakes as we all do. Your woodworking skill are improving daily and Eric's influence has transformed "Old Daves shop" to a professional woodworking Mecca.
Here you go buddy! We don't have one specific to this model so this is a link to our blank base plate makeawoodsign.com/products/acrylic-router-base-plate-blank-5x7-5
You should probably put some stain or burn the lettering also that way it stands out more and u can see what it says. Other then that, its an aweome piece of artwork!
Do you spray your board first w sealer…I sealed a sign w sanding sealer. Painted the black letters then sanded it….the black paint smeared everywhere and gummed up the sander…total mess on a good looking sign otherwise….no room for power sanding between the stripes and stars….frustrating…….
It happens, man. We generally don't seal most of our boards simply because we forget to. But when we do, we use Rust-Oleum Clear to do it. It works better than sanding sealer in our opinion
Great video Miss Vicki. ❤ Love seeing you doing videos. Congratulations on 100% cancer free and done with all your treatments. Congratulations on starting the shirt shop. I have done shirts for over 30 years. It is a lot of fun. I love the HOPE sign on your wall. God bless you!
