The number of wrinkles in an old person’s face is a sign of how far they have travelled in life, the deeper the wrinkles the harder their life’s path has been, and the more sacrifices they have had to make along the way. But It also means they have lived their life to the full.
I think I found something interesting. A study in France discovered that a man whose posterior cingulate cortex (PCC) in the brain was removed, felt absolute bliss, a mindful state, and timelessness. Not only does the removal or de-activation of the PCC provide the patient with a mystical state of consciousness, but also the de-activation of other parts of the 'default mode network', like the mPFC (medial prefrontal cortex), gives feelings of 'oneness' and connection with all and everything. Ego-dissolution is also a part of this mystical experience. The fact is: this all happens when the main parts of the brain are deactivated or removed. So, these mystical states are probably the 'default mode' state of our consciousness when the brain is not working. When we die, we will probably experience these mystical experiences and become one with the bigger field of consciousness, God, Brahman, or whatever name we give this magnificent state of being.

Peace be with you too my brutha. So so absolutely and clearly pointed. What a blessing for this simple offering of what ultimately has been forever given. Even when we choose against it. So what. It does not matter. Even when it seems the entire universe wants it to matter. The ego mind. So what. It’s all ok. The universe is within my mind. Practice practice practice. Pain comes. Only as a sign of grace and the chipping away of the silly thought. Incorrect thinking is no sin. The unfounded judgment against ones Self. And self. It is painful my dear beloved selves. Yes. But it’s ok. This one here writing is slowly realising. Slowly letting it fall away. Not judging the pain as much. Yes awareness or presence. Mindfulness. Remembering to allow. Oh it does hurt. But it is a healing pain. And it is nearly always preceded by more space. Even a bees 🐝 dick is a huge difference. lol 😂 The foolery runs deep. And so what. May okness be your constant companion all ways. I deeply respect and honour you Jonathan. A light to light all that seem to dim yet never forgetting because of that light. The light within. I hear this lovely piece, and see the lovely photographs accompanying this and I can really say only one thing: We, the human race have the ability to live together in harmony. To live our lives, to love one and other, to love animals, plants and nature. No need for war and destruction. Photographs so powerful. People of all colours, nationality and religion. The lovely animals. All happy. All positive. We should learn from this. Live our lives. Accept happiness and sadness as it comes, and most important of all -the one thing that could be the the ending of despair throughout the World: Accept one and other for who we are.

Dear Jonathan, thank you dearly for all of your sharings. Why do you think "hellish" uncomforting nde's happen? And...awakening mostly gets talked about regarding the waking state experience. Yet...during the dream state, unless lucid there will once again be a losing one self in duality and seperation. Hence this could explain the possibilty of negative ndes... even to "realized" beings I wonder if there are any beings that stay present and aware throughout the waking dream and deep sleep cycle without interruption?
Once again such perfect timing. As I start the day. Even though I do my best to start each day with a prayer of intention to apply this spiritual practice through out the day. Thank you. Needed to hear and feel that. It’s a huge process to look. Really look. And in seems to get worse before it gets better. Undoing judgment is hard. It holds the dream in place. I don’t have anything clever to say. Just got to keep going and be grateful for dream figures. Older brothers on the path like you Jonathan. Running Nose. Fighting temptations and every time I make the right choice, FUNNY coincidences occur. Been socially isolated for 5+ years (with bumps) Body is changing. Face is looking more structured and looks like I have a strong foundation. New thoughts. Breaking family chains. Makes sense why God wants us to be around people…. Thank you.
