Pastor Mark Marlins is too young to remember John Lennon stated the Beatles are greater than Jesus Christ. He was born in 1967. Strangely, he has been Beatles Music pusher of all these American Churches. His church plays Come Together, All You Need in Love, Yesterday, Hey Jude, I Want to Hold Your Hand he even wrote a book about their spirituality. Sadly he did this so the church would have money.
I saw you walk You know you say Like a ghost you know to me babe Come back boots make you look slick Oh now I see you walk home from school You got so lost on the way You got me feeling like a kid But this man is no kid you know So I'm not goin pull your hair I fall so hard inside the idea of you That's why with you can't say what I mean Wanna to stay but I think I'm gettin outta here I fall so hard inside the idea of you Aw there you go again Oh I don't know And I see you walk past with your friends Aw and I saw you laugh and whisper And I I'll talk I want you here But you turn back and smile at me Aw you got me feeling ok with that So I'm not goin pull your hair I fall so hard inside the idea of you That's why with you can't say what I mean Wanna to stay but I think I'm gettin outta here I fall so hard inside the idea of you Bus stop dreamer The late night You with me There's something moving You can't stop, saying that you love me You love me, you love me Enough, enough you make me shy But baby, I wake up I saw you I fall so hard inside the idea of you That's why with you can't say what I mean Wanna to stay but I think I'm gettin outta here I fall so hard inside the idea of you Oh it's so go on baby say it Yeah, Yeah, Yeah We're laughin
The thumbs down we’re probably just purists that like the songs done like the originals and that was very much not like the original. Les Paul kicking it off instead of a Strat, too much overdrive instead of natural breakup, no slide in the lead part, the lead part was chopped up with a completely different chord progression than the original, the guitar battle doesn’t happen in the song, there wasn’t a last verse and other things. Do I think it was bad? No, it was entertaining. I’m just answering your questions about why some people probably gave it thumbs down. It was very different than the song. That is one band that people do NOT like bands taking creative liberty with the covers of their songs. Don’t know why. In my band, we try to do Skynyrd songs as close to the original or from the live “One More From The Road” album as we can. We’ve made that mistake and people just don’t usually like it. It’s weird. Just my 2 cents from my experience. I thought the musicians were good and they took creative liberty with the song and entertained with it.
i have been trying to find and remember what song this was for like 5 years haha ( i found an old hard drive and it had wilco songs on it lol) fucking hell awesome
its funny as shit how totally unnecessary the acoustic is for this song. like what the fuck did he even need it for? Church's like this are all about image. I bet a good chunk of the offering is used for these half-ass musicians Guitar Center bills.
The Good Lord put the power of music in you guys! That was one of the funnest and best covers of that tune I've ever heard! WAAAAHHHOOOOO!!! Thanks so much for sharing!!! When you have time check out the Lexington Lab Band! GREAT bunch of musicians and Christians!!! SUPER great people! Rock on!
I've been trying to learn the introduction for this song but there is no sheet music, tutorials or tabs.. I've been trying to learn it by ear but in having no luck.. How'd did the guitarist lean the part?
