With Old Hunters, this is even worse. His dreams are ruled by nightmares over his greatest sin, being forced to feel the pain and suffering Kos's orphan felt when he was ripped from his mother's womb. That's why Gehrmann tries to set us free in the end. He knows this all began because of him, so even though he wants to be free, he feels he should be the only one to suffer. Still, I unshackled him and everyone else. The nightmare had to end.
I'm not holding my breath, but I'm hoping that with Arika working on the new Art of Fighting/Ryuuko no Ken that they can bring back some of this magic. Akira Nishitani's games are in a class of their own as far as fighting games and arcade single player goes, at least to me. Unappreciated, frankly.
@@arvidfrom4211 thanks! There are items and ideas I didn’t end up being able to flesh out for myself since I didn’t want to do any runs for shop money, but it’s an interesting system to play around with in the main game.
This is my attempt of transcribing the quotes. 1:45 "I saw your movements. You are no match for me !" 6:03 : "Fighting is something uncertain/hard. But for me losing is impossible." 7:34 :" Go back to your country, you probably have a family too." 19:19: "Vega, I wont let you say you forgot... You, You are Guile ? You've gotten stronger...Kill m... You, Stop it!... Julia... Even if you kill him, it wont bring back Nash... Look, this is your child...again...let's try together again. But, I threw you away... Dad...Mom now and I love you too.. K... Some tea ? Yes sure. What's wrong ? M..no...It was a long night"
Hopefully I can do more, though it’s really a crash course in KOF and I’m basing it on stuff I see these two players doing at a Japanese arcade. K’ seems really fun, but I definitely need to clean up my execution.
@@ArctheLadder I am using Devon and she usually runs away before I get close. a few times I do manage to get a few hits on her but usually she runs away so fast that I have trouble getting close again
@@Spazbo4 so you should be looking through the openings in the barriers to see the direction she’s moving in. What you want to do is cut her off by running to a point/intersection that is in the direction she moving towards. You’ll see me do this multiple times in the video. What she will do from there is stop and try to shoot you, you have to take this moment to begin your offense. So you want to attack her before she shoots. Once she shoots, she might try some melee options but if you got a good opening then she should take an entire combo from your character where she’ll respond by jumping backwards and shooting at you then beginning the sequence again. When you’re approaching her, wait until you’re in range to lock on. Do not lock on before running up to her because you’ll move much more slowly when in target lock. Key things: 1. Cut her off at the pass in order to get her to try to shoot at you, which means look at her through gaps in the wall or pillar structures in the arena. If you listen you can hear where she’s moving via the stereo channels which can help with figuring out her position. Her trying to shoot you, stopping to aim at you is your opening and hitting her as she’s beginning to shoot and not after will get you consistent results. Sometimes you can strafe a shot and still get a combo in. 2. Use your R Trigger to strafe. Ideally you’re using it for hold based lock-on which is in the options menu but if you press it by itself your character will strafe while moving which is very helpful in gap closing and avoiding damage.
Your game is brutal, congrats man, I love this game, but I remember the arcade voice for rounds was the same as in the ps1 version, I only feel a few characters of the original lineup are not present but still a great street fighter game if not the best of its time.
Hey man, that fan usage starting at 1:24 was real clean. Also I never thought to use the platform item for the final climb at the end lmao. Thanks for that; helped me a lot in beating your time. Those square turrets you see starting at 1:40? You can stand on them if you're invulnerable. Under the effects of ampoule, you can pogo off that first turret at 2:10 in the video and stand on it, then just climb up the pillar. Major time save. In my run, I popped an ampoule after climbing that ladder at 2:00.
I didn’t climb them since I was looking to ampoule later in the stage. I know you can stand on the boxes but don’t really have the item money I would like to test the ideas I want to! But I’m glad you learned something from me instead! As for why I know you can stand on them. It’s cause if you make a mistake in that area normally… you can stand on them! But because I have to split money at the moment it’s just splitting costs between the platforms or the ampoules. Thanks! I’m more or less done with the game I don’t want to do a score run for more money, but I saw you on that leaderboard. Not bad at all.
Honestly such an improvement over the original, I know some love the OG for memes or nostalgia, but I definitely think it's an improvement for the most part. I prefer most of the character voices here with the sole exclusion of Alucard, who I feel can go both ways. My favorites in this is evil Richter and Death (absolutely love the part where he steals Alucard's gear, especially with those cool background sound effects!)
@@ArctheLadder Thanks man! I really appreciate your quick response, I dug out the controls manual (the demo doesn't have it, I think. I also watched some of your other stuff, it's all very cool. I wish you all the best! :)
@@SobberZ And somehow faster on Hard Mode, but I think it can be beaten. The item that makes you invincible is so goofy, the Medicinal Ampule I think it's called. And the SHATTERHAND DRONE.
Yeah, Kaede runs faster and Hayate has a much jump and better air mobility as a result. Note that the game has a dash button, so Hayate can cheat out of his shortcoming to some degree.
She is my fav character, her defense is prime and her style is the most beautiful of this game and makes my wonder if SnK has made a character with a style as beautiful as hers.
Yeah, in the preview I saw her name is Tsukuyomi/ツクヨミ. They had some preview pictures overviewing some preview pictures overviewing the changes/updates to the bosses, though
Yes, it should be out at the end of the month! Also, normal mode is definitely much more like the original. I really hated those comments going “this looks so easy”, yeah I’m not just, you know, making it look easy or anything. Hard Mode has some interesting aspects and I can see why you might deviate from the original design but there’s choices I would have made to try to retain the previous ideas a lot better.
Excelente!!!!!! Sensacional!!!? Nostalgia pura!!!! Espero que um dia façam o mesmo com o maravilhoso " JOURNEY TO SILLIUS " 🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷🇧🇷
Um.... what? The first Stage Boss and Mini Boss were _that_ easy?! Just got the Demo on Switch yesterday and I cannot defeat that first stage Boss. Guess I'll need to hunt down that shell looking weapon and try again.
Plenty of time till the end of the month to get it down. Still wondering how the difficulty is going to lean, because I think sub-weapons are definitely a foundational element. All that said... there are a lot of reasons I want it to be the end of the month and this game is one of them.
Love the art style, however as a fan and owning the original NES cartridge I hope the game is a bit more challenging then what was presented. Got my pre order hope I'm not disappointed.
Hard to say, I’m guessing if there is a hard mode and if it’s based on the multiplayer mode I play then you’re going to get some nice, inflated HP values on bosses. The later stages and bosses take advantage of the resolution increase so I’m wondering just how they’re adapting the later stages and what the character differences are going to mean in terms of challenge. I do think there is some finesse involved, remember as well that you didn’t see my attempts to streamline the gameplay and familiarize myself with the game. This is a RU-vid video and not the process of really playing the game. I think the game will still deliver fun and challenge in that sense.
It's unlocked from the get-go. Wasn't terribly interesting to me personally, but I imagine people who like building the item loadouts will have a really good time with it.
Fun fact: while "Ichor Hunter" doesn't appear in Luminous Avenger iX, one of Azure Striker Gunvolt 2's bosses, Milas (Nimrod), has a Septima called "Ichor" and likes pure water.
