In the spring, once I sort out my work workshop, I'm definitely building this. Not sure where I put it though yet, as the space in my office is quite scarce :)
how are things going with your actuators? are you happy with them yet? I'm really wanting to build your build, but i'd like to use all the things you learned rather than making all the same mistakes :). I love that you use bldc motors rather than servos, that seems easier to customize and cheaper to get in the us :)
hey its a nice build and thinking of recrearting one formyself at home but i am pretty new to it, am just owndering how tall it is at the max with the monitors and you?
Do you know how i can get the 3 virtual displays back? I accidentally removed them at one time and whatever I do I can't get them back. This prevents me from opening native apps like edge in VR - it opens on the desktop.
Hi I like watching your videos I want to ask you what power supply you use? if you use 1610 ballscrew 540 36v 15 A ? or did you have to increase the amps and watts? thx
How can you not have one comment? Great job! You have the sim I am trying to build!!!!!! Thank you for sharing specs. I don't see what sits between the actuators and simtools. Thanos? Arduino? Can you please share? I am a computer guy but not an electronic engineer! I plan on trying s male scale from FS2020 -> Simtools or Flypt - > ??? - > Arduino Mega ? Learning. Thank you.
Only recently stumbled across your work while considering making my own 6DOF sim rig. It would be great to se a updated setup video, parts used / upgrades etc Real nice work, also with the openxr compensation.
For a DIY video, there was very little DIY😂 not sure why search results brought this as a number one result for “RU-vid diy 6dof build” Love the video starts with “I probably should’ve videoed the Build…”😂 Did I miss parts 1- through 1000 perhaps ??? Anyone know of a RU-vid channel with detailed steps for building a 6dof commercial/private use rig??!
