From what I am seeing here, the December 2024 deadline that Soludo gave for the completion of the flyover, cannot be met. It may not even be completed in 2025.

Is the FG not in partnership with the states? Do you think the money that will come from FAAC can take care of the LGAs? Are the Federal Law Makers not making laws for the Area Councils in Abuja and also doing the necessary oversight? You want a LGA that will run on autopilot, don't you? There's nothing wrong with the laws passed by the Anambra State House of Assembly. What do you think would happen if one LGA pays salaries and the other embezzles the funds? Who will the LG workers cry to for bailout? The state government? That is why laws are made. The governor is right on this. Where was this man when the law was been made? A LG Chairman would have yearly working budgets? Who will scrutinize their bugdets? Who will oversight them? People like this man wants the funds accruing to the LGAs to lie largely in the hands of the chairman without checks and balances so that one greedy person will swallow it. Anambra State followed what was in the constitution. We should commend the state government for it.

For me, you don't even have to waste your energy trying to convince anyone to appreciate government's efforts in trying to fix most of our roads. I still stand to be corrected that apart from the opposition aspirants and their petty supporters, there is no any intelligent person that criticizes Soludo projects, especially at early stages like this particular project, because they know that a lot of things are involved in road constructions and other projects, the government engineers and the construction firms engineers. So when certain people are complaining, you will know that they are criticizing out of crass ignorance.

No one condemned the dualisation of the road rather, the point here is just the safety of those walking on the road. Just for example, the new dualise road in Abia state, you how wide it is, far to the right of the drainage. That is the standard size for such roads , so our people will be less expose to danger.
