PARALLELS with USA: - Anyone NOTE the Senate CARES to possess SUFFICIENT GUARDS in Rome, so They argue AGAINST Julius' request to send Them to Him Julius, for his Foreign Wars? Likewise, BIDEN has U.S. Soldiers all ovwr the Globe yet, lowers the U.S. BRIDGES on All FRONTS... Moreover, PAYS for The Care + Housing + Sustenance of HOSTILE Foreign Nationals + Criminally Insane + Criminally Inclined + Low Wage Earners to Enter --VIOALATING Immigration Law, and put all the COSTS of Housing + Healthcare + EBT Card on the NAT'L DEBT CARD which has become UNSUSTAINABLE DEBT. IF Biden were Xi, wouldnt then, Biden's ACTION, be more CLEAR to the Average American, but bc Biden was born in USA, is White, and was a Senator and was put in office (via crookedry), then THAT'S supposed to erase the DANGERS to American Citizens, on many FRONTS, LEVELS, and CATEGORIES?
The rank of "Capitaine" is FRENCH. The German equivalent is HAUPTMANN. Otherwise, this low-key, under-the-radar drama is well worth watching. The plot is ingenious, and I mean that in every sense of the word!
StanWyck... Albeit a "Star"... Does not hold a candle to Lizbeth Scott (MatKo).. Word is StanWyck was furious that the Name was listed as top billing along her own... FOR GOOD REASON...
How is it that movies like this need to be discovered? Why have they sliped through the cracks of film? I loved this movie, the acting and the heartwarming story. I just hope others find this ovie and enjoy it as much as is did. /tku
The Black Swan (1942) 6.7 An ex-pirate contends with rowdy buccaneers and a love/hate relationship with an aristocratic woman who's tougher than she seems.
This was a Great Movie! The charge into hell and chaos was excellently done! I so appreciate the Australian 'bushmen', as some call themselves, for their service and sacrifice. ps. Not one 'woke' man in the bunch. I believe this film along with the 1987's The Lighthorsemen aught to be Manditory Viewing. Thank you so much.
So glad you posted this "Great Classic" & I was able to finally see it again!! I saw it a long time ago, I thought about it lately but could not remember the title or who starred in it, I just remembered it was on a secluded farm in a small town & it was "Such A Great Movie with Great Acting!! Finally, this year I saw "Kathy Baker's face" & I remembered she was in the movie so I googled all of the "Kathy Baker movies." When I saw the poster for the movie I remembered "Peter Weller's face" then when I saw the title it clicked & I did remember it was titled "A Killing Affair." I was Soooo Excited when I saw it was available on You Tube & it was really nostalgic watching it again so "Thank You So Much" for posting it!! Also, I agree with "lisas8244" below regarding "To Kill a Mockingbird," that movie along with "The Grapes of Wrath," "Paper Moon," "A Raisin in the Sun" & "They Shoot Horses Don't They" are 5 more of my top favorite classics!! I have so many more "Old Classics" & No, I'm not an old person who only loves the "Old Classics," I'm an author who pays very close attn to the craft of acting & the dialogue in movies & I just love Great Acting & Great Movies!!
The dog in the film, according to the dog scanner app on my phone is a mixed breed of coarse haired hound, Australian terrier, Berger Picard, and Coton de Tulear.
