For the First , she is not struggling at all. It sounds better than ever this version of this song . She has sung it once before . And cause of her illness in the documentary , it was filmed 2020-2022. Since then she gotten really great and the medication has really start working . Ever since she has been training physically and voice wise . If she wasn’t ready she wouldn’t have done this performance . She is going back to Las Vegas for the new contract at resorts world for a new recidency .
yes! I'm so excited for her to return to Vegas! Overcoming any illness, specifically ones that affect your. voice as a high level singer is no small feat. I am so proud of her for staying strong and still singing!

That is totally fine. I think he has a lot going for him and I am glad he has millions of fans. It looks like you are one of them which is probably why you watched the video. I just have a lot of singers who try to imitate the yelling that some famous singers can get away with and I'm trying to explain why that is less effective in general, from an acoustic standpoint. At the risk of over simplifying a very complex scientific topic, here's a quick "non-scientific" explanation: The acoustics are against you when your throat is too wide to accommodate the sound and power you are trying to create on those higher frequencies. It's like playing tag. When you chase your friend they run away. That is what happens with vowels: when you chase them too high and try to make sounds not meant for the throat with your throat, they run away and become difficult to sing. You work hard and don't get as much bang for your buck. You need to shift towards the mouth, at least partially. Using a narrower opening in the throat will compress the sound, "Splitting" the resonance partially into the mouth/head space and still keeping some of the resonance in the throat space therefore creating more harmonics giving you a fuller sound with less work. This gives you more of a mix coupling of F2/H3 (Mix) and less of F1/H2 (yell). That is all I'm trying to point out so that while Lewis is having smashing success in his career and I wish him well, other singers may not be so lucky and should they try to imitate the yell acoustic, they will end up tired very quickly and probably not enjoy singing very much because their voice is too tired to handle more for the day.
right. Pain and power are not the same thing! Some people will be at the same volume in a balanced place as they will in a "yell" coordination, and they think they aren't loud enough because it doesn't hurt. It always shocks people when singing is powerful AND Easy.
If you are just listening for enjoyment, then yes, I agree that his emotions are thoroughly conveyed and the song is beautiful. And yes, as someone who has to help people figure out how to solve problems like this in their own singing so they can create longevity in their voices or even just figure out how to handle the basics of singing, I do critique things like this to learn from and help others learn. Not many people are interested in over thinking things like this, I agree. I think he's great and obviously has a great following. Just wanting to analyze to help others learn and grow.
With all the good and great country singers now and from the past, it is amazing how distinctly unique her voice is and immediately recognizable as her own. A God send❤.
