Many people don’t know this but you should be able to live off minimum wage. In life currently though for places like Indiana where the minimum wage is $7.25 there is no way you can pay your bills or even afford to get your own place with that income! So why work in this current day and age where you’re truly not going to have anything? I get it right you need a job to survive and make a living and I firmly believe that but then again this is really starting to feel like slavery rather people want to admit it or not.
The main reason why Gen Z which I fall in that category are not working or don’t want to work is because we are fighting for better conditions/pay at these companies! Also these companies only want workers they can take advantage of. For example not having to include a benefits package, not paying a good wage, not offering a good work life balance etc). However back then in the 90s these companies had more to offer there employees, they also recognized hard work loyalty and all that. The companies would also pay you for what your worth and would want to keep you. Now they want people to shut up with their head down and work until they die and us being GenZ definitely don’t think that’s right.
EVERYONE NEEDS TO STOP. YES!! WE HAVE A GEN Z CRISIS. OUR BASIC NEEDS ARE. NOT. BEING. MET. WE CAN'T EVEN WORK TO AFFORD. OUR. BASIC. NEEDS. LITERALLY EVERYONE. HAS. TO. TREAT. THIS. AS. THE. CRISIS. THIS. IS.
The real question is how many people are on the books for being hired, but don’t even work there anymore/ work part time, and only 3 jobs bc each one only gives 10-15hrs a week. How deos that effect the employement rate?
Gen-zers there are plenty of jobs out here begging for workers, this generation doesn't believe in taking a entry level job and working there way up into the cushy, high paying positions, they want it out the gates or don't want to work at all. These illegal immigrants are about to jump at these positions and move up in these companies and factories and you'll are going to be left behind or working for them.
I never hear back from hundreds of employers from Indeed, especially on industrial jobs or the dumbasses want "experience" even though nobody wants to hire you to get you that experience.
That's great until of us gen xers retire and there is no one to deliver your food, gas, clothes, mail, build your house, fix your roads, your cars, etc., those jobs that make your lives full of convenience.
Happy Labor Day weekend younger than me guy, you are getting it, I like something you shared, you need to circle yourself with those that have better skills in an area that you do not currently possess. Well, that is what this old guy working in the high desert did and still does. As a side not, we have not made a video for 3 years because it made us too busy, and our content is very focused on highly technical watchmaker machinist programming skills. Anyways just sharing some thoughts with you about how we got to this place where we are currently, what a journey. Hey, our phone message for our calls we uploaded an Ai generated message and it is really good. Lance.
I just apply to a job I may or may not be qualified for. I mean at this point the😂 salary was good but I’m desperate. I applied yesterday for a job and this morning they said they won’t go for me. So sad but at least I’m not waiting long for false hope.
I’m currently employed and I work in retail. I’m so tempted to quit because management is terrible but I have to remember that it took me so long to find this job and I should be grateful I even found anything 😭
I’ve had a full time job this year and and a half and now a new part time job in the same company. It’s not enough so I’ve been looking even in my industry or industry adjacent. It is rough, but I’m going to a career fair next month and pray to find something. There’s definitely overlooked industries.
This American system is disgusting. We’re slaves already but the oligarchs are REALLY working their way to bringing back slaves in the west. It’s gonna be a new name and a big public school propaganda campaign for 1 or 2 generations, so 20 - 40 years worth of schooling, with the new name and how it has no association with slavery. ALL backed by the democratic party btw. I would say what we all know needs to be done but call of duty is real life. Most of us will look out for ourself instead of properly collectivizing to be beneficial for us and the immediate future generation. Too fuckin selfish. Selfishness has become the plague.
A person applies themselves after the gainful services are being rendered. A person does not apply before only during. This is what being anal comprehend. Knowing correct English while employing will do you great. Assume the position
It’s funny because they think they’re just supposed to get a Cush salary because they are themselves. Over inflated self worth. You are expendable. You are not special. You have to work. We ALL started out at the bottom. We’ve all been rejected more than accepted. Gen Z thinks they’re owed something.
almost no learning experience in any job it only depends on your background used to be able work anywhere i still havent find one paid trainng job and linkedn has way to many fake interviews and fucked rent you wonder why alot of people are becomin homeless
Im GEN X. And what I have to say to the generations that followed me is do not pay any attention to the people like me or older saying that you are lazy and entitled. I see Crystal clear what has happened in this world and basically all in any and all incentive to actually work a job has been removed. Just ask Al Bundy or Homer Simson. You are NOT lazy, but you are EFFed over. Its not right.
True, I asked a talent acquisition and she told me that not all the job offers are real, sometimes they do such things for a different purpose, that is completely different and has nothing to do with hiring ppl, she mentioned that some foreign companies want to prove that they've positions and try to ro hire ppl as per their agreement with the government or to collect data as well..
Once again ppl have to be smart . I apply for a job in my field same week im hired.... Its no run around.... straight foward no cookie cutter nonsense...... Employer gets right to the point and vice versa......I knew i had the ball im my court when i can decide on which company i want to be apart of opposed to just taking anything . I research all companies im interested in and i narrow it down until its a few i like then i set up contact and interviews.... Maybe its a 3 step process.....emails, phone calls , in person ......then last step HR department which means your hired......I never seem desperate for a job i dont care if im in dire need i sell my skills to the employer like hey if you don't hire me your missing out on a excellent employee. My resume speaks for itself before i set up the interview....10 years of experience compared to someone with no experience....... Only way i wont take a job is just being underpaid
Ppl have to be smart . I would apply to different jobs but im more focused on 1 field........the field im certified and licensed in....... simple..........why apply to every job category..... I know my field and the ins and outs ,The salary i will be making, all the bonuses, what expected value i bring etc.....ppl just apply for anything
I did a certificate in IT on Course Careers that was a mistake because during that time as soon I was done tech was starting to lay off people. Even trying to get into a entry level job was wanting like 2 years of experience. Ridiculous man. I have a background as a graphic designer, so I may do something as for design related to expand my skills that relates to my field.
I just got laid off from my job that paid 60k annually, I was still penny pinching. Now I'll have to settle for something that's 45k or less and be month to month again
Money is the root of many evils..'Giants'have returned to the land. Greed and hypocrisy have consumed the ways of the people. They heap up heavy burdens to lay on people's shoulders, burdens they can't carry themselves, and they are unwilling to help. They make the outside of the cup appear clean, but the inside is dirty. "Peace! Peace!" they say but they make war. "Freedom! Freedom!", they say but they opress the people by putting work/money over life and charging them interest on the things that they themselves have withheld and stolen. A thief comes to kill steal and destroy. But Truth/Jesus come full of grace and truth and life. The world has been following a lie. A false testimony made by man. The way the system determines/governs "work" and "education" is the problem. People should be freely educated and energy should be focused to find real solutions to improve life. The system is a lie. They control the supply and they control the demand. -Everyone can have what they need. -Greed is the problem, not the lack of resources or people willing to work. -No one should be a slave or feel helpless Why does justice cost so much money? Why does education cost so much money? Why does healthcare cost so much money? Why does the cost to live cost so much money? Why do certain positions pay so much money? Because money is being exalted over life, and many in positions of power want to stay at the top. It benefits the government/big companies/schools if people 'need' money, so many of them don't want things to change or they say it can't change. Furthermore the system is all they know so they follow is blindly and wholeheartedly. Although there are those who agree it needs to change, but they don't know how or feel they have the power to change it. We need to work for true bread. Food that doesn't spoil. It's the greed and sinful ways of the world that creates poverty. Wicked shepherds, many in positions of power/places of authority who are supposed to tend to the sheep, have plundered the land and scattered the flock. They stored up riches for themselves and have hidden and forgotten the truth. The greater is supposed to serve the lesser. It's like 'Exodus 5:4-9', where Pharaoh reduces the supply of bricks, but increases the workload to keep the Israelites distracted from the truth that they are slaves. During that time, the Israelites became so use to the system that they didn't even know they were slaves or they accepted that's just the way it is.They were decieved and lied to about their history, so that they forgot who they were and where the true foundation/provision/strength came from. They became strangers in a strange land. The fig leaves/money/gifts are used to cover the nakedness/lies/hypocrisy. But the kingdom of God is truth and righteousness. True payment isn't money, true payment is of God and is wisdom and understanding. Wisdom dwells with love and truth. Life and life more abundantly. There are people who love to farm, people who love to cook, people who love build, people who love health and science, people who love to teach..there would be even more if we focused on the things that matter. If people are working but justice, love, mercy, and honesty/truth are being disregarded, then what is really being done? They try to make the outside of the cup appear clean, but the inside is dirty. The former should be practiced first and then the latter. What is the work the Lord requires? Believe on the one he sent/truth. "Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and then all these things will be added to you."..because in Truth God gave all things freely. Jesus/Truth came to testify/judge not to condemn the world but to save it; because the world was judging and condemning and claimed that its wicked ways were right, by misunderstanding and following traditions and lies. "If you abide in my word/truth, you are truly my disciples, and you will know the truth and the truth will set you free." "My peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give unto you. Let not your hearts be troubled and don't be afraid." "There is a place for you in my kingdom." "Love eachother as I haved loved you." The Battle Is The Lord's.🔥
My advice if you're looking for work, start going to networking events. The best jobs will probably come from your connections not through a LinkedIn search. Hope this helps 🙏🏾
