I could be wrong but I believe this was the last of many of the original Ballet National du Senegal members. I recognize a number of my teachers from over the years: Tackho, Jouncounda, Idrissaa Gueye (one of the best sabar drummers ever) and Oussemane to name a few.
Appréciez la beauté de ses Danseuses ! A l’époque, ça vivait bien, les filles de cette époque (1968) ne connaissaient pas les produits éclaircissants. Ici nos danseuses portent du velours il me semble ce qui devait être dispendieux et rare pour l’époque. La Culture Guinéenne se voyait de loin , boustee par le Feu Presi AST qui en avait fait une affaire personnelle et il la réussit car jusqu’à sa mort en 1984 , elle rayonnait à travers le monde et puis plus rien après le changement de Régime !
Hommage à tous ces grands artistes africains de Guinée qui hisser très haut le Rouge-Jaune-Vert. Grand merci pour votre contribution au rayonnement de culture guinéenne.

There used to be/may still be a clip relative to this performance on RU-vid.I remember seeing it once before and it appeared to be a rehearsal with all of the dancers and musicians in the same costumes.The difference was that a number of the female dancers were topless,and the video may have been removed for that reason.If you also remember seeing the video I described,please like my comment,thanks.
