Just fun, real life, tech reviews that are hopefully relatable. On this channel I try to cut through the nonsense and tell you what it's actually like to use these devices on the day to day.
One thing I wish Samsung would improve on is shutter speed. My wife has the galaxy s24 ultra and the camera is great. Until we are trying to take a pic of our son running or in a swing. My iPhone 15 pro max is always taking super quick and clear pics but is so damn boring. I think I may upgrade to the s25 ultra since I’ll be ready to upgrade in March of 2025.
Yeah I know what you mean. We've gone away on holiday and I was planning to bring the S24 Ultra for photos but I decided to take my Pixel 8 pro instead because of the fast shutter speed. Hopefully they improve that on the S25 Ultra.
Yes if you're looking for an upgrade that will feel very similar to the P30 Pro then I'd go for the honor magic 6 Pro. The software is very similar and the cameras and battery life are great 👍
Yeah I don't know what happened with the microphone in this video. I used a DJI mic and it's usually really good but on this occasion the quality Is off. Thanks for sticking with it though!
I agree, this phone is great in pretty much everything and yet it's boring af. Before this I had the Note20 Ultra and I was proud of it until the last day. S24U is such a dissapointment to me, and except performance in games I'm not even happy with it, there aren't really any changes compared to 5 year old devices.
That's a good question. I've just had a look through my photo library and yes the 5x lens does tend to under expose in darker environments. It's something I'll test more and I'll perhaps make a video about it. Thanks for watching 👍
Good question, I've only had the Pixel 8 for a few days but I'm enjoying it so far. I certainly think it's very good value for money especially if you can pick it up when it's on sale.
Thank you so much for showing the mint. Not many videos of this color. Sometimes it looks mostly white to my eyes which is fine by me. The hazel is tempting too.
I've not been able to test the Huawei Pura 70 pro as it's not out in my region yet. The cameras are very good on the Magic 6 Pro. If I had a choice between the two I'd go for the Magic 6 Pro because it has the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 and official Google support whereas the Pura 70 does not. I will hopefully get hold of a Huawei Pura 70 pro to test for myself.
I had tempered glass for about 20$ (fingerprint doesn't work), then for ~5$ (worked, but black was more like grey) and now I'm testing this antireflective foil from samsung
I know what you mean. I think the fingerprint reader is the only frustration I have with this phone. I really want to use it without a screen protector but I'm too scared to get it scratched up. Thanks for watching 👍
They still haven't fixed the scrolling stutter ? I haven't gone back to that phone because of that came here to find out if they did thanks for addressing that
Everything with this phone is great for me overall but I especially hate the camera, the picture looks so fake, I hate everytime I used the camera. Beside that its a great phone
Have you tried the "Natural" colour profile in the camera app? That tones down the saturation a lot. I love the camera but it's definitely not for everyone that's for sure. Thanks for watching 👍
@@DriverDanTech i did try all the filter but its simply not my taste, my previous phone was Oneplus 11 and it had better photo in the same situation, I guess it must be the software of Honor that make it look so bad, the hardware is great though but it just can’t ultilize that
Yes you're right, Honor had a pill shaped cut out for the front facing cameras before Apple, but Apple made it interactive which is the part Honor borrowed for their phone. They basically inspired each other which is fine in my opinion. Thanks for watching!
hi, very nice review, calm and to the point. Bought this phone two days ago, very satisfied so far - comes from three Samsung series so I thought it might be fun to switch. also had the p30 pro, so I understand what you mean. Keep up your great reviews!
Thank you! Glad you liked my review. Only started on RU-vid this year and this video is my favourite one so far. It's an amazing phone isn't it. Thanks for watching!
@@ibrahim199797 that's a tough one. I would say check what the returns policy is in your region and perhaps buy a magic 6 Pro to try for a few days and then return it if you don't like it?
@@ibrahim199797 very difficult question, The only thing I actually miss from Samsung is their built-in image editing. But there are apps for that. What I love about Honor above all is the absurdly good battery life, the camera and the simplicity of the menu/operating system
Awsome and honestly review and ty for talking about deskmod pls we want someone to talking about paralle space in full explanation no one talking about that feature ..
@DriverDanTech tbh I really wanted to have something different, but I'm not sure if I am brave enough to go for the yellow and wonder if I should play it safe with the black. As for the content its a pleasure to watch, it's on par with the rest of the tech reviewers, I felt you sounded a little nervous, maybe rather than the more natural tone but I'm sure that will come in time with more videos. I'm a massive tech nerd, and these videos get me through some quiet periods at work and always peek my interest, making me want tech i can't always afford, but it's a fascinating watch, keep up the good work.
@@sparkylights6069 the black looks good too. To be honest all the colours look good this year. My sister in law has the green one and that also looks really nice. Thanks for your kind words, I was nervous the first few videos but I'm starting to find my rhythm now. You should start a channel too it's a lot of fun!
Yes that's right but if you put a regular screen protector on this phone it ruins the "anti reflectiveness" of the screen so you kind of have to use one of these so that it doesn't ruin that particular feature. Think of it as like a Matt screen protector whereas the tempered glass ones are shiny.
Great content. I find that the Whitestone dome film screen protector is fantastic. The only film that uses a UV light to harden the film like a glass screen protector. Should try it.
I don't tend to go too heavy on the specs as it's just numbers on paper. I'm more interested in how phones perform in the real world. However, if you're interested in the specs then they are all available on GSM Arena www.gsmarena.com/samsung_galaxy_s24_ultra-12771.php
I had mines for just over two weeks and like you keep playing with it. It's perfect for me. Also bear in mind there are raw photo features which will make a difference.
Yes I've definitely got to try out all the camera features. There's so many things you can do with this device. It does everything! Glad you're enjoying it and thanks for watching!
