These new features look incredible. What I love most about Dixie Chopper is that their new features are always customer focused. When I bought mine, I knew that my money was going towards quality. This looks like a great product. Fantastic job!
They are indeed. You would need to measure the length of your existing blade and compare our blade dimensions. Easiest thing to do is buy a new Dixie Chopper. 👍
I m a professional lawn care,,,I own 2 chopper a silver eagle and a classic,,,I used those mowers for 15 years all day 5 days a week never had a mayor problem,, I just retired'em
I have a 2007 74" Excaliber with around 600 hours on it and is the best mower ever. It mows fine on flat ground but has no power to go up a slight incline now. The engine runs fine but there is something going on with the hydro power system. I changed the oil and 3 filters late last season. Any ideas what's going on? Thanks!
You mentioned an accumulator for oil on steep inclines, but aren't those only good for 20-30 seconds of oil supply? How does the engine get lubricated on longer slopes? Do you have a video that goes into more detail about that system in general?
I have a Dixie chopper twin 25th anniversary edition. I haven't used it much due to trying to figure out why it keeps slinging or sometimes burning the drive belts.
2008 2760 classic with 640 hours still strong in Oklahoma. It’s a bulletproof tank compared to anything out there now. It will suck the birds off the trees.
This man could narrate paint drying and it would be interesting. Please do more videos with him, i love hearing the history and engineering side of things
Sweet machine something neet to have my father has a landscaping business and hes been using dixie choppers since 1981 he had others that year but quickly love the dixies and we still use the same brand today great work dixie chopper i can guarantee we will always use dixie chooper mowers
@@trentmitche11 IDK just oem blades? But almost unbearable cloud of dust never had a mower suck up so much dust always ran Toro or grasshopper before the this one
I bought the first Dixie Chopper hydro drive mowers in Florida both were great machines First was Eaton drive and the second was the new x drive that machine was the first and lasted 5300 hundred hours Nobody does it better 💪💪💪💪💪💪💪💪
@@DixieChopperMowers That's unfortunate unless you redesigned the way the tracks extend and retract. the issue is the 2 struts under it fill with dirt and rust and jam they're non greesable. thats the reason I don't like them unless you know something I don't but that's the issue my boxer had.
We have a 60” classic and 74” xcaliber. Both are great mowers. Over built, over powered and cut beautifully. The classic has better cut quality. The xcaliber has better hillside stability. Only complaint is the springer forks, we had issues with the springer forks and had to pay out of pocket to replace them with the standard solid forks. Dixie chopper will not warranty bent springer forks, only broken ones. From our experience, these mowers have withstood extreme mowing conditions. Mowing down tall grass and tree saplings. Chewing up hidden objects such as metal, asphalt, rocks and debris without damage to the mower or deck. Also will cut over grown 8” - 12” thick turf grass with little to no clumping. These mowers disperse clipping very well and throw clippings an impressive three mower widths. The 74” xcaliber mower will mow an impressive amount of grass in a short amount of time. With the right operator it can keep up with our exmark 96”
I went and purchased two Dixie chopper‘s with 50 hp Yamaha diesel And I can tell you there is not another mower made that well out cut the lawn mower I had one that had a 35 horse diesel I wouldn’t recommend buying that inless you’re a homeowner in my opinion the Dixie chopper is the best mower on the market
Thank you for sticking to your guns and building a great machine my landlord has a 2008 Dixie Chopper all original still going h m broke have no idea how many hours are on it but gets used and abused a little bit with Moen fence lines and Tall Grass and I get stuck fixing it
Would love to know where there is a dealer near Connecticut. And what do they sell phone and do they have smaller machines? Please comment back, yeah, let me know. Thank you very much for this video I remember when Orange County choppers did a machine. Thank you again for this video.
@@DixieChopperMowersThank you very much for getting back to me. How expensive are these machines would love to know? I would like to purchase A48A36 rider machine.
I expect this mower will last several seasons with decent care. ru-vid.comUgkx1VWTrayKBdCKAjzAcZ_Eg4dhHTae3LkN also recommend Also, I ran across the problem with it not starting the 2nd time I used it. There is a safety switch which is pushed in by the chute or mulching piece being attached to the deck. I took the cover off and it wouldn't start. Put it back on, no problem. It takes only a minute with 2 easily accessible wingnuts and no tools. This mower starts up first crank each time and it is a joy to use. It also mows in reverse by putting the key to the reverse area after starting and pushing in the triangular button. It will stay in reverse mode until you turn it off. All in all, for my homeowner needs, I really like this mower-and at 70 bucks a cut here in Miami, it's already more than 1/3 paid for itself in a month.
Could be a steering lever not being in neutral, could be a seat switch, could be parking brake switch. Start there and take to a dealer if you are still experiencing problems.
Bought one in 2011 but mine came with the electric deck lift and it is the best thing EVER ! Here it is 2023 and I promise you I have had zero problems from this machine .27hp Kawasaki with a 60 inch deck .
Dixie Chopper decks perform excellently in wet grass. We've performed demo's in wet grass from morning dew or rain and customers have bought the machines on the spot because their current mowers wouldn't cut as well.
Why do all mower manufacturers put the rock/garbage bucket high up on the front? Everyone I know that has jury-rigged one put it on the back out of view of what you are cutting. This is absurd, and EVERY MANUFACTURER does it. Front suspension reduces worker fatigue, increases productivity, and most importantly in the long run - prevents worker disability claims and lawsuits down the road.
I bought Hustler super Z in 2008 and have hated it since day one. But I paid cash for it and the dealer nor the reps would help. The only reason I did NOT get a Dixie Chopper is they didn't have a dealership near me, and the one thing ALL the professional guys agreed on was SUPPORT. And I was afraid of not being able to get the parts in case it broke. I heard good things about hustler from my mechanic friend that works on mowers used on a big farm. He said the only mower the operators could not tear up was a hustler . It is trus that they are built like a tank. The only problem is that it steers 10 times worse than our 1973 Cat D-6c. I think I have learned 2things from this video. 1) I think my problem is a design issue and is probably not economicly feasble to fix. 2) when we Do find a new house( now that we have retired) I will find a Dixie Chopper dealership, TEST DRIVE one than if it is as good as I think it is, I'm going to buy it then get the Barrett out and put 20/30 rounds into the hustler and then drop it off at the dealership I bought it from.( after I get my air ride seat off it, because that is the only thing I like about it)
After 2005 don't buy a hustler they start started making them cheap my brother bought one just like what you said and the dealer told him better do it now because after this year which was 2005-d are changing everything nothing as heavy as what they currently are which was in 2005
@dixie chopper do you want a video or you want to do it In your parking lot. Could help you away a few customers that may be on the fence. I would not mind if a professional did the blowjob I just want to be there
I thought my cheap neighbor next to my farm had a White but driving by I finally see it was a Dixie Chopper so thought I would check out this brand. Somehow after watching this I'm not convinced Dixie is the way to go but is a good machine. I have a very nice 2012 John Deere Z920A /60" deck, 1,500 hrs. that is hard to beat. Weighs about 200lbs. more than the newer M series. It just uses Tuff-Torq hydro's that are very trouble free. Nobody complains about them at all. Mine are clean and working perfectly but I'm about to pull them out to change all seals, filters and fluid before any leaks start. I have everything needed from Tuff-Torq and J.D. Subframe that holds both hydro's and oil tank is very easy to remove and service which is really nice. The main frame is massive, very simular to a 3/4 ton truck. Been very happy with this units power, comfort, mowing quality, longevity and parts availibility. Dixie may be a great unit but pretty sure I'll stick with John Deere which is about all you see on the trailers of commercial mowers in Michigan.
