My sentinel pile was removed by a colorectal surgeon Dr Ryan Moore in New Jersey Hacken Sack Hospital almost 8 months ago and I’m still in pain and agony and I have to take strong pain killers . I feel he cut it off so brutally that my anus is not healing .I am considering seeing another surgeon to access what is going wrong there. I must advise everyone not to get them removed if they aren’t posing any problem because healing takes a long time .

Had it done yesterday. Honestly after years of hemmoroids and fissure this wasnt a big deal. I went right to work and standing all day probably helped. The bleeding stopped by bedtime. Took a bath with epsom salt, drank mirilax and fiber, sat on a heating pad. This morning i had a bm without an issue. I have swelling but its already healing well. Guess i am lucky.

Just had mine removed yesterday. I'm in pain and constipated. I don't want to go because it simply hurts too much. I will wait for near 48 hours and then take some sort of laxative. How long after this procedure did people take to have a bowel movement, and when did pain start lessening from them?
I had a removal last week but looking at the area now it looks like open flesh wound like a hole as been left an it’s quite large. I’m in so much pain, now yellowish gou is also coming from it. Do I need to go back to hospital?
hey, nisha! I had the same procedure about 7 weeks ago. In my case, three skin tags got removed. It took 3-4 weeks until the wounds itself are healed, but it took me 2 weeks until the last swellings dissolved. I just don't recommend drinking alcohol (which I did three weeks ago and during christmas) because the wound could swell again and that is not so nice. The healing really depends. Some people write it only took them a couple of weeks, i heard from someone that it took 15 weeks for them. in any case, be patient take it easy and listen to what your body is telling you.
