I mean, it´s alright but, i think you could´ve pitched up the open hat, lower down the volume of the bass too, and sidechain the main melody with the kick, that could´ve sounded very good.
I think its got potential, but here are my tips of advice as someone with experience in producing Synthwave.: 1. I would change the drums to something a bit more low passed. Splice has some great drums, but the ones your using sound way too much like a house loop. Most Synthwave tracks are created with that retro feel 2. Definitely add more structure to the track. If you experiment with adding sounds as the track progresses, it will add a lot more variation. Looks like you already have everything in the loop except a melody, so just work with what you have. 3. Sidechain everything to the kick. All you have to do is route all the layers (except the drums) to the track where you created the automation point. I hear the bass being sidechained, but that's it. 4. Make sure everything is EQ'd and Compressed properly. Also, I would experiment with the Vintage Chorus stock plugin, it's really good for synthwave. You have good sounds, now its time to turn it into a track!
thanks, but this is not synth wave, its deep house. This is just the idea and the track is not finished yet, thats why its a loop. As you can see, i have a sidechain automation, which sidechaines the bass, the synth the pad and the atmos.
@@TheLazyCat000 ohh gotcha. It has a lot of synthwave elements to it, but still, I would recommend a little heavier of a sidechain to give it that groove. Don't forget about the compression too. We all have different ears and styles, so I understand the different trajectory you're going for. Awesome work bro, keep it up!!!
I’m not a pro or anything but as a music enjoyer I think it lacks phases. Like the beginning and the ending and stuff between it. So it gradually gets to this part you’ve shown. And what you’ve shown sounds pretty good. Well done

@@TheLazyCat000 I think you could make it more interesting by adding some more elements like drum loops and effects... Also did you used sidechain on the vocal? If you did, in my opinion it is not a good approach... Let the vocal shine. Maybe add a little bit of sidechain to it only on the drop. Good track, yout got it :)
@@TheLazyCat000 maybe more impact on the kicks and a little bit more mixing on the vocals, like cut the blanks in the vocals to take off the nois when the singer stops singing, that would be perfect. otherwise the song is perfect nice work
