I'm just an ordinary guy having fun doing anything outdoors. On my channel I cover Hunting, Hunting DIY Projects to help fellow hunters be more efficient, product reviews, other Home DIY projects and woodworking.
As you, M Dohring, say in the description (sort of), RollNLocks should be used as an ascender device NOT as a line/lanyard tender. Climbing Technology, who designs & manufactures RollNLock, specifically warns against using it in the way you are planning because of the real likely-hood of the loose end of the "lanyard" flipping over the line enough to 'unlocking' the cam. It doesn't take very much force, as CT explains and I have demonstrated to myself. Yes, you have a prusik back up, but why is it so slack? If the cam unlocks, you will drop in an unpredictable way for an unpredictable distance before the lanyard catches on something and/or all the slack is gone and the prusik stops the fall. I have no idea what might happen to your head (Helmeted, I hope) during such a drop, I for one would not risk it myself so I will continue using more tested and reliable adjustable lanyard constructions.
Thank you for the video. This isn’t the first one I watched using the Sader, but you actually showed and displayed how to get down the most important part.
When I bought mine, they came with cam buckles. Does anyone know what kind of rope I could buy off of Amazon that would work with these? I know the Wild Edge website sells them but it would cost me over $70 for 4 straps. That's more than than I'm looking to spend. By the way great job Mark!!!
Im arborist just bought ropeman 1 and 4 for something else...i use ct rolling lock for adjustable bridges on my arborist saddles. Check out my buddy Richard Mumford channel he does extensive testing on the ct rolling lock...much stronger than its advertised...however not rated for ansi or osha in arborist work
All three contain urushoil which is what causes rashes. Treat skin same for all three regardless of species. Washing vigorously with cloth and soap as soon as possible may remove some of oil lessening effect. Burning worse as it can irritate respiratory areas. Weed eating also should never be done.

I picked one up today at a yard sale for $5, I wasn't going to buy it because the motor worked but the shaft didn't spin. Luckily I found your video and the part on Amazon 2 for like $9 for the Dremel brand. Thank you!
Just checked mine. 0218 so not one of the suspect ones. I just bought one of the new ones. They have redesigned so there is not a snowballs' chance in hell that the new version can accidently lock open. Very nice change. Thanks for the video.
Thank u for the very nice words. I definitely enjoy the outdoors and products that help me enjoy being out there. If u would like to reach out to me on messenger feel free to, would be interested in possibly trying out some products because I definitely use boots for wet conditions here in Wisconsin during scouting and hunting season. Also just bought a Jon boat because my wife wants to go fishing with the dogs, so fishing will be a big part of our adventures.
Thanks for doing this video I’m not too good at identifying poison oak sumac and ivy either but I have a basic idea so hopefully I’ll be able to identify it. thanks again
Thank u for watching. I usually can see the ivy and I don’t know when or where I ran into that, but thought while I was treating it should try and help out others. Thank u so much for watching and commenting, have an awesome day.
It’s common sense when you push the it comes out then when you’re done reverse the process then what remains on the tube goes back then seal it with provided seal
It's best to go to the Dr.get a predisone shot and tell them you want clobetasol its the strongest cream by prescription for poison ivy, oak and sumac.I don't mess around with anything else
Michelle, you can use this tool. Suggest having Mark show you how but you do the cutting, learn to use your new tool! Women can use tools as well as men!
Absolutely, very easy to use. There is only one tool in my shop that freaks me out and that is my shaper table, but u just use each tool with safety items.
Side note… if you already have a lone wolf pocket arm, you can easily get jb weld putty, and it’s a few $ cheap.. but will fix the point on your bolt. Just pack it in and let it stay and let it air out a few months if you’re worried of smell lol or I threaded a nut on, and then grinded some of the point to make it fit nice and not dig it. Win win both options.
Or you could take two of one or ther ither. If you run 1/4 1/4…. You can take two in case one falls out. And other hand 1/4 3/8… same thing. Take two lol
New Subscriber. Those stixs look sweet. Try the S.M.A.R.T. Climbing Method, with them. It's new! It compliments any tree climbing system. I've only made one video so far (One Stixing like a BOSS). Because one stixing isn't safe. But this makes it safe and easy. I hope to see a review soon lol. Thanks, and I always enjoy your videos.
Thanks for subscribing, what’s the S.M.A.R.T climbing method ? I’ll have to check out ur video, I haven’t done one sticking and I don’t think I will be trying it, ever since I had the rope slip through the muddy stick I had. I’m going to watch ur video
@@MarkDohring Your rope slipped thru a cam cleat? What happened? I don't know If you watched my video yet, but in it I stress that I'm always ready for my feet to go out from under me. By always having a tight line on. Thanks a lot for replying.
