The ref intervened because hughes turned him and punched him. the blow was in a legal area. he just got into an advantageous position. refs should not pause the action for that !! if any fighters finds that they’re opponent has gotten to the back of them that is their job to get out of that terrible position, not the refs job to save them !!!
