Nice to see the original Japanese closing. I've seen the American "Trans-Lux" closing many times since I was a child in the late 60's. Also interesting that the Japanese used an instrumental "pop pizzicato" theme instead of the jazzy pop theme that the Americans used. My favorite car passing by in the closing: the steam engine car at 0:20 driven by Trixie complete with a 19th century top hat! She's so pretty wearing that costume.
The cartoon is "What's Buzzin, Buzzard?", from 1943. Hence the jokes about Meatless Tuesday, and showing the steak. This was during World War 2, when meat was heavily rationed, and, to further reduce meat consumption, laws formally declared certain weekdays to be "meatless". Steaks were impossible to get, because all of the high-quality meat went to feed the troops.
Wait for the beep, and Nobody’s home have been locked into core memory indefinitely! Right up there with the old LifeCall commercial-I’ve fallen and I can’t get up….We’re sending help immediately Mrs. Fletcher!
Wow. I’m 44 years old in 2024 and this was a quick trip down memory lane. Just thought to search this in the middle of some convo with a friend. First time seeing this since I was probably 10. $14.95 😆
I used to call Pepsi Pepe and pretend Pepe Le Pew was the mascot. Would this commercial have made sense to be a Pepe commercial in which Pepe Le Pew meets and befriends Frankenstein's monster after convincing Frankenstein's monster to try a glass of Pepe?
The 1st 1 is what losers like Ashley O'Doski Grupi of Bartow and Lakeland, Florida, worker at Polk County Public Schools used in the early 90s on her answering machine cuz her own voice sucks!
The real reason why the banana splits are not in space jam a new legacy and the teen titans go 100th anniversary special: (After warner bros showed them the banana splits horror movie and jellystone) Warner bros: so what do you think? Fleegle: 0:31 - 0:35 And that’s also why the banana splits are not in season 3 of jellystone.
I like this version! It's more lively than the American version... The graphics and the theme song are both cool, even though I can't understand it, except "Mach A GO! GO! GO!" 😆😆😆
This early Ronald McDonald look gives me Arthur Fleck Joker 2019 vibes, but it could be the terrible grainy looking uality of the video. Does anyone else think of Arthur Fleck when looking at this Ronald McDonald actor with the clown makeup?
I know that Rugrats & The Ren & Stimpy Show & Rocko’s Modern Life & Aaahh!!! Real Monsters & Hay Arnold & The Angry Beavers & CatDog & SpongeBob SquarePants are from Nickelodeon, but Doug, I think in the future, is from Walt Disney, but not Nickelodeon, Why?, Because in February 1996, Walt Disney Company Purchased Jumbo Pictures. 😔
This is an epic intro, the US one sounds too hokey, despite it being the same tune (just much, much shorter). Japan takes it's anime seriously, they take their anime intros just as seriously it seems.
