@@charleswest1 so, I download the map to the sd card 32 gb,i put the map on the sonar and at the same time record the depth and save it on the card to the next upload to the social map. ?
@endurolabioannina3219 you download the map from lowrance to your desktop or laptop, then copy it to the micro sd card. Place the card into the unit. Then select your map page, hit menu then select cmap social map and it should be there, you may have to zoom out and move around to find the lake. It won't just be there unless you are at the lake.
You have that mounted wrong regardless…Lowrance tell you if you have a outboard engine to mount the transducer as close to the center of the boat as possible but with an outboard it needs to be at least 15 inches away to the right side of the boat.
The hull doesn’t have anything to do with it… it’s the fact that you have an outboard engine, and you mounted the transducer in front of it. The transducer gives off air pockets/cavitations which can have a negative effect and even damage your propeller. But if it works.
That's fairly new what about 15 years old or older I just use the cheep dollar tree orange with oxy. Just put your wood putty on with a flat putty spreader me plastic one will do it good. I a nice pole 🎣 you want to see the small darker markings on the wood to keep the value of old fishing Pole's. I only do that to new fishing pole one's because it doesn't matter is not worth much. Is not like is my grandfather stuff. I'm big bamboo poles and wood Cork just fun to do. This was a good video.
Does the route cancel after you touch the go button on the pedal? Or does it continue on the route after, say, you have to go shallow briefly to free your lure, will it automatically go back on the route? Thanks for the video! I have it saved in my favorites on YT!
Great question, mate. I don't use these feature enough to know 100% but I would say you could some how. A good question for one of the lowrance community pages on facebook.
I get exactly what you see but none of my buttons work. Can't anchor, Navigate or anything. The only thing that works on my hds is that I can tell it to go to cursor or waypoint and that will work. When I push anchor on my remote control or foot pedal, than I can use the screen to jog forward, backword, left or right. What is my issue or what am I doing wrong. Thanks
I haven't ran scout mode much, probably will now that sandies are schooling. I caught more this year, but learned a ton. It's still not close to easy like pond fishing.
Thanks for the comment mate. I definitely find scout mode better to target schooled fish . Definitely learnt alot about fishes movements around bait and structure.
Nice job. There’s a part of me that likes the weathered look, but keeping my rods in great shape is important as well. Thanks for sharing, I like spoon butter as a protector on mine. Half wax half mineral oil.
Thank you my bro for a outstanding and very informative lesson, I was told by a other rod builder that I should use wood glue and cork powder to do what you’ve done with just wood filler. Well I did use wood glue and cork dust l, I covered the whole cork end all 8” total and the 2.5” fore grip, I let it dry fully and tried to sand to finish off, but as you guessed wood glue does not finish as smooth like yours did, so I thought ok mineral spirts should soften it up so I can remove it, nope it just soften the cork and I tried sanding but not coming off, so I used the side of a small putty knife and now I have a dented and damaged cork end. So I just ordered the same wood filler you use, glad they have here in the states, and I’ll follow your teaching on the rest of my cork filling. Thank you for a great learning experience, better then the way I was told for sure.
@@charleswest1 my bro I used the timber mate wood filler you used and it came out a lot better then the glue did, but when i removed the glue and cork dust it damaged a large part of the cork handle, but I applied the timber mate and worked like you did and it came out way better then I would have thought. Still had some deep groves but it’s my personal rod so no big deal. Your video is sure fire way to protect the corks, and I will be following it from this point on. Thanks my bro great video, I have made sure to follow your channel, thanks again my bro Dan
