Unless I win big at the lottery, I'll never be able to afford it. Even if I do win big at the lottery it's doubtfull I will spend the estimated amount of money to buy it. But I can't deny I get goosebumps from watching this film. And for that: thank you Sotheby's.
This F40 (88538) has MAJOR crash history. The idea it’d bring $2m when a platinum no crash classiche US car with only 8000mi sold a couple nights ago for 2.2m is TOTALLY INSANE
Amazing machine. But a car indistinguishable from this in every way can be built for less than 10% the likely sale price. And so the trophy/historical/originality aspect will set one back a few questionable bob.
Some chances come around once… I think about things like this all the time… Like from a perspective of a human being if I wasn’t worth it once comments, not even worth it because you weren’t worth my time either… But something like a car like this is amazing.
WTF is this? Trying to convince young rich tech execs they need to cash in their stock? You either "get" the value and purpose of this car or you don't. If you need an ad like this to convince you, you don't deserve it.
Normally, I love all of the content coming from this channel, heck I was at RM Sotheby’s in Monterey yesterday, beautiful and iconic selections. This video should’ve been made in the hills of Italy or along the Pacific coast mountain roads, no offense to this person you used and that’s seen driving the car, but this video is totally wrong and it’s a bit of an insult to this amazing timeless classic car! My apologies, I’m just being honest here, and saying out loud what many that view this video will agree with as well, try again next year.
This is about what I feel like when I take out my 96 Viper RT10 for a rip. You need to prepare a bit and stay on your toes. Cars like this are a finite resource which every car enthusiast must experience.
