To Aijale Dyob: Did you know that, as of February of this year (2024), Costello Dismantling now has the contract to begin removing Red Line trains that were retired, too? But then eventually, the carbody of Pullman-Standard 01643 was resold to Core Investments On the Dot. I now feel more determined to try to get the old MBTA Red Line trains saved. I've been trying to reach out to those U.S. railway/trolley museums. Illinois Railway Museum said to me that it will probably be too expensive for them to acquire a pair: In a letter, they told me that it cost them a total of $11,000 to acquire Neoplan electric trolleybus no. 4110, and the parts for it. I even reached out to Mr. Costello himself (the guy who runs the aforementioned scrapping company in West Wareham & Middleborough), and so far, I only got one response back from him. Why not start reaching out to Costello Dismantling, and try to convince him on not to scrap all of the old Red Line trains that the company is planning on hauling away?
