@@earthdog7449 I have no idea what the fuck you’re trying to say. Also, kid, this is RU-vid, not a timeline. I say “kid” because you type English at less than a third grade level.
I saw them and learned of their existence for the first time on a trip to the Grand Ole Opry. I was completely blown away by them to the point that I do not remember any of the others who performed that night. I was heart broken to hear that they were no longer performing.💔😢
First song is “rain and snow”, a cover. Havent heard a better version of it done by anyone I could find recordings of the song back to 1916. Wish Flatt Lonesome had it on one of their albums😢
I was fortunate enough to see them live at Swallow Hill (a bluegrass/folk music venue) in Denver on their 1999 tour. Sadly, I lost their CD that I bought from them at the concert but have never forgotten them!
Oh my! This just popped up on my tube. Where do I begin, I remember when this family was just getting started and putting all they had in it, Bill and his wife (she played bass) lived in Colorado, John was about 16 and the other boys were younger, drove a minivan and pulled a pop-up camper and would come to mobitte tx and play our festival, what a pleasure it was to jam with them and listen to them on stage. Back in around 1994,95, God blessed them with a talent and let them live their dream. We still dig out their cassette tapes and listen, I could go on and on but I won't, I'll just sign off , Rusty, Dobro picker for now and again back then! !
When is Flatt Lonesome going to start releasing new recordings! We fans have been waiting a loooooong time!! Being on the road is tough with families I know but at least give us some new music please!!
I can't believe I found this. I was at this show. Some twit pulled the fire alarm and cut the show short. It migrated to the hallway and kept going. I followed these guys all over the place, even down to Bill Monro's Bean Blossom Festival. Loved these guys. Lots of energy and great song writing. don't quote me on this but I believe it was all original material.
