I am a former Gymnast, former karate teacher. Tore my right ACL doing a back flip, when I was 25, which helped me retire as a gymnast. I tore my left ACL doing a jump spinning kick during a parade at 39, which helped me retire my karate career. I wanted to thank you for having this content and sharing your struggles. I felt the injuries as you described them and remember each rehab path to mobility. I also wonder what I would have done if I never injured myself, but respect the events as a force of change in my life. I gain a bit of hope from your conclusion as well. That there will be a time that I can have a healthier relationship to the sports that were a major part of my life. Again, thank you for sharing. -Joe
thank you for sharing! And Nile: everyone struggles to find how to be happy; you're normal. You have the right idea: be productive each day. My good news is that after years of watching you guys, this California girl finally understands everything you're saying! 😂
I got a lovely surprise thos afternoon! Hubby bought me a JustWork t shirt for Christmas, forgot about it, and it just arrived!! Im far too excited about it!!🤣😂🤣 Looking forward to another year of following you and your gang. Happy New Year!
My husband and I have envelopes for Christmas and birthdays and we calculate out the budget for both for the year then put money in them each time we get paid. This is so helpful in not causing the massive Christmas bill and also takes away stress of other things crop up in December that are unexpected.
I have a savings account to put money in every month for the holidays and birthdays - it’s so so helpful because most of my loved ones birthdays are right after holidays!
Wow Joanna, I so wish more people would click on this video because you have the best insight and advice on this topic. You are so right on with every point that you are making and I am going to implement this into my life to make the best changes to make me a better person and a happier, more productive person. Happy New Year to you, Ashley and the squad! ❤
I had no idea that I wasn’t subscribed, after 18 months. Thank you for this. Your processes have helped me realise what I need set myself up for to achieve 2024 goals
A break for lunch and your last vlog of the year before I get back to my years review. Started it this morning. Proud of some things, there were some good times, and some really bad things happened, but I’m still here. No idea what I’ll be doing in the new year, but I’ll be the best version of myself while doing it.
I have decided to attempt 3 savings challenges next year. The 1p a day so day 1 is 1p, day 2 is 2p all the way up today 366 is £3.66 (leap year next year). I think I'm going to look at starting at 366 and working backwards, although I've printed off a chart, so there's also the option of having a handful of change and just marking off different values so say I have £1.76 in change, I can mark off day 100 and day 30 and day 46 etc. This should save £671.61 for the year/366 days. The next challenge is the 52 week challenge, again can be done 1-52 or 52-1, but that is week 1 is £1 up to week 52 £52. So that will save £1378. The last one is the biggest one and is probably quite ambitious, especially whilst also doing the other 2. It's the 100 day challenge. Day 1 is £1 and day 100 is £100 or visa versa. That would end up with £5050. All of them can be mixed and matched for the days as I'll be printing off sheets and marking off what amount has been saved. I don't expect to do the 100 day challenge in 100 days, I think it needs to be modified either by length of time or amount etc. Even if I can only complete the 1st 2 challenges, then that will be almost £2100 saved for next Christmas 😁
My husband and I only shop for ourselves. We shop all year long under 2 categories, do you really need it or is it necessary. Everything we purchase is gift wrapped and put in the closet for Christmas. We have limited money so everything has to stretch. Happy New Year 🎉.
My Christmas decorations go up on the last week of November or 1st week of December, depending on various factors. Putting money into a ‘Christmas’ account is also a great thing to do, it does work.
We all have some people who we buy for every year so make the list in January and start looking out for things then and throughout the year and together with budgeting it can make Christmas less stressful.
My parents had an arrangement with Santa to leave each kid one unwrapped present. We could play with those & what was in our stockings until our parents got up. Then we had breakfast before opening the rest.
When I was growing up, the rule was no waking parents before 7 on Christmas morning. When I had kids, my Mom suggested that I give the "best" gift from ME, so that Santa didn't get all the credit. 😂 Sending love and happy holiday wishes to everyone reading this, from Baton Rouge, Louisiana!! 💙💙
The use of toes to hold the paper while Jay was getting the tape. 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼🎄🎄🎄 Yep, that’s exactly what I do. It’s the whole reason we sit on the floor for wrapping presents.
I thought Thomas Salto was banned long before Rio for men. Take care.Luckily you have not broke your neck literally. Love you all! I was born with cerebral palsy /due to lack of oxygen at bith, my right side is spastic and If my mother , bless her did not made me excercize since one year old I would be in the wheelcher and my muscles would be atophed. I hated it as a toddler and pre pubety but she was peristent And now I love it. I gave bith to twins 15 years ago, and stopped practicing adapted version of my excercize 15 days before giving birth to them. Promote excersizing thru fun is best what you can do for today`s youth. I was bullied during my youth for my gait and involuntary moves but I was taught not to give a f..k because now i move pretty good , Im university profesor and completely satisied with myself. .When i saw Nadia Comanechi i remeber I was 5 years old .And i fellt in love with excercising every day.It is better to educate youself or to do sport than staring in your mobile device.Go JO and Nile your vlogging will pay off.RESPECT FOR MUSKETEEERS.
My faviourite siblings, Niles you pointed directly to me and only me!! I could listen to you both anytime, Niles you are so wise, intelligent, insightful... you remind me of my daughter who has spent her life 'masking' due to Autism & ADHD, the gloves are off now, and she is herself, and I wouldn't have her any other way. Masking takes it toll, you are right, we should all be ourselves, in whatever we do, we shouldn't have to hide anxiety, or any other mental health issues. Keep going Niles, you could honestly paint her kitchen and we would thoroughly enjoy it, becausse you are the one doing it with your sense of humour and laughter would have us all belly laughing. Don't get me wrong, I love your content, it is inspiring, you are on the right path, but it is always good to go up the lanes to check things out. Thank Joanna
All of you guys are some of my favorites to watch on youtube. A great group of friends, helping each other out and having fun in the process. Merry Christmas Joanna!
I absolutely adore you two! You’re not just fun and entertaining, you’re open, honest, decent real people who remind you it’s ok to be yourself, laugh at yourself and enjoy life 😊 watching you all these last few months has helped me more than you know ❤❤❤❤
We need more main channel nile videos and Neil and nile golf videos! I challenge you to recreate your old videos, go back to those challenges you did and try and beat yourself! That could be a start to get you back to your passion of making fun and exciting, for you, content! Wish you all the best and a merry Christmas and a very happy new year!
I can’t imagine how it feels as a sportsman to have that moment when you realise if you carry on your body could be seriously damaged beyond repair yet still having that drive to be the best. Well done Nile with how you’ve handled and taken control of yourself since retirement. You went through the bad to enjoy the good man!
