Was a skin at school blade 1 every month result suspended for 3 days a month sadly got into sniffing glue age 14 ruined lot wasted lot of my life sad to say led to other things but have qualifications of a shoe maker 1987 and landscape gardener use any machinery tools etc took after my dear dad r.i.p x sadly now diabetic arthritis and other issues loads of meds etc but beats the alternative xx
I remember back in the late 60's coming home after getting a number 1 hair cut and my mum just stood there and cried her eyes out. Now I'm 70 and still love the sound and clothes of those days.
Yes the Skinheads boot boys and suedeheads were all Special sub culture and I've been all three.... Skinhead.... Park lane boot 🥾 boy...and suedehead....but all this was a pre-curser to the next thing....Glam rock 😮😮 I was also a glam rocker😮😮 But once a skin always a skin😮😮
I was a skinhead in 1980 - 1981 and I had a proper shaved head. Looking back it's odd to see the men skinheads from the late 60's onwards having longer hair than the mods and hippies

The tall one at the back, Brian, lives in my town. He moved here not long in years, after those pics were taken. he hasn't changed much, just got older

Great days! Please take me back 1972 when Skinheads first appeared. Managed school and two jobs, paper round and the market just to pay for my gear. Crombie from Burtons when they were still a tailor!
