A lot is different nuances from my actual training, but it does make sense to be able to “change your mind” and resume treatment later. Life happens.

I have done the same.

May I ask where you got your dialysis machine cases? I'm so glad you both get to go on adventures while doing your treatment! My Hubby has been on dialysis for over 8 years now and he uses a Nxstage system one machine.

My nurse told me I had to start treatment within two hours of the machine priming the cartridge :-(

i used emla for my piercings, ive used it for my lip (outter) and my conch, thick cartilage. i didnt feel a thing, just slightly some pressure. i did use it on my lobes however it did not work. which i found odd, i thought it would work on the lobes more then hard cartilage. going to get my other conch and using this, also on my tragus, here is hoping it will numb my tragus so i dont feel anything. XD

Hi, I am a dialysis nurse in the UK and recently got the job of lead for self care. Unfortunately the largest hurdle to overcome is my patients attitude to dialysis. A lot feel that it is their life now and they cannot continue a "normal" life with dialysis. I am frankly in awe of the way you are carrying on with the things you enjoy, and I will be mentioning you to a lot of my patients. Would you allow me to copy your RU-vid dialysis expliots onto a dvd so I can show them life goes on? Cheers

It will take most of the sting out of an injection. It is much better than using a lidocane injection. I will only numb the top layers of tissue.

Kdrpiper, you are right it does clamp the blood line in several places, but you are wrong in the rest of your comments. Everytime a balance check happens, the lines are clamped. If you look at your cartride after a treatment, you will find kinks in the same place as stopping the machine at 23. Not to mention that it was NxStage that taught me this trick.
