Rome was declared open city & was not destroyed, so everything is still there (from the renaissance & on), including interiors, very nice & interesting... Prague was not bombed/shelled to destruction,, so it is a fabolous city from the outsides. But the interiors were looted. Prague is still very nice... In Sweden (were i come from) they had too much money to spend and tore down all the city centers & replaced it with modernist buildings. E g. the Danes concider the Swedish Cities to be ugly... Copenhagen (& smaller Danish towns) are always very beautiful.. My impression of German cities is that they usually are modern & OK, they feel just like our Swedish cities.. Except Mannheim (& the "Quadratestad ), which is really exceptional... The case you described, reconstructed cities (Warsaw?) Is very interesting... Do you know any good videos/documentaries about that?... Obviously, the Poles still know how to build like they did in the 1800:s... That is not the case in Sweden, even if there are exceptions...

Non so se da quando è uscito il video hai avuto modo di fare qualche altra partita a uprising + ix. Volevo solo sapere se confermavi ancora quanto detto, ovvero che uprising, se non si ha la necessità di variarlo o espanderlo va benissimo già da solo. Ciao, sono sempre io.. ahahahaha ho un'altra domanda a dir poco "esistenziale" che mi porto dietro ancora dal predecessore "Dune imperium": Di media, il mio mazzo, quante carte dovrebbe avere? Mi spiego meglio, ovviamente all'inizio sono 9 (togliendo subito cercare alleati) ed entro i primi 3 round pianifico di comprare e conseguentemente sostituire almeno 3 carte dalla fila dell'impero. Arrivo così a 12 carte nel mazzo e di solito tendo a restare su questo numero, se riesco anche 11. Secondo te ha senso averne di più? O addirittura di meno?
This series Children Of Dune is a edited complication of "Dune Messiah" and "Children Of Dune" by director Greg Yaitanes. Staring Alec Newman, Susan Sarandon, James McAvoy, Julie Cox, and at the time an unknown James McAvoy. Kept relatively close to the source material as was feasible ( considering the budget ), but well acted and well made and very watchable. Chances are this production and script concepts will be used as a source material when Hollywood takes this on as a project. The monster of an adaptation that is yet to come will be "God Emperor Of Dune" an almost blindsiding story and a nightmare to adept and script. However it is in this that we will see the true protagonists of the Herbert novels, the "Bene Gesserit".

Honestly, these sci-fi's are every bit as amazing as Star Trek or Star Wars, but the only people who realize thus are those of us who sat at the feet of a creative bard and got lost in a tale.. This miniseries, and their previous Dune miniseries are fantastic. I am always so amazed how inventive people can get on a limited budget. I have seen many dramas performed on stage with little to no props. For example, Man of La Mancha is meant to be performed with but a few props. Props, or even special visual effects are meant only to inform a story, not to carry it.

i LIKE THIS VERSION BECASUE the personal relationships, in the 2024 all is about the big purpose, so individuals are just pwans in the script to achive the goal. This is more like an soap opera. Every character has its own moment to bright.

Avrei una domanda da farti, con il mio gruppo di gioco abbiamo appena finito una partita. Ci è venuto un dubbio su una carta intrigo, la carta permetta al giocatore di scambiare 2 acqua per spaccare il muro e convocare un verme in battaglia. Il nostro amico però non aveva le redini quindi non gli abbiamo permesso di convocare il verme. È corretto? Sul regolamento effettivamente che le icone del verme sono in genere precedute dall’icona delle redini quindi teoricamente ci viene da pensare che quella carta intrigo contraddice il regolamento. Qual è l’interpretazione corretta? Grazie mille in anticipo 😊
@@Mrpancio22 quella intrigo costituisce l'unico modo di mettere il verme senza redini, quindi dovete al vostro amico una birra ciascuno. E ricordate che l'effetto che fa spaccare il muro è opzionale!
Yes, the 2000 minseries, with the Cinematography by Vittorio Storaro, defenitely felt very much like Dune, the Italian Empire. Not Roman, but kinda like it could have been shot in palaces along Corso Vittorio Emanuelle.. But it was shot in studio in Prague, so i suppose it was all sets... Prague looks very nicely preserved, but only from the outside. Since this was Commie country, there is absolutely nothing left of Burgeois interiors or furniture or knicknacks anywhere... It was all was gutted... . Whenever they try to restore anything old in the old iron curtain countries, there is never anything left, so they have to be very rough & make it look brand new. An example is the Erimitage... This version of Bene Gesserit, really very inspired by nuns, again like along Corso Vittorio Emanuelle, in the most religious town in the world...
Much of the "old" buildings in Europe are new rebuilds since WWII as much of Europe was Destroyed by carpet bombing / artillery / etc. You see a stone marker with a 1786 date and, well, yes: the original building was built back then. The marker stone might even be from that time. But.... Sadness....

Ciao, una domanda tecnica: Comprare carte mono casella (solo blu o solo giallo ad esempio) mi dovrebbe incentivare di più a bruciare, quando possibile, una equivalente carta del mazzo base piuttosto che un classico pugnale? Esempio: Se compro una mono blu buona, poi mi conviene scartare la mono blu del mazzo di partenza per non affollarmi il mazzo con le caselle blu o comunque la mossa migliore se capita, resta quella di togliere un pugnale o un Dune pianeta desertico? Spero di essermi spiegato ahahha
@@jake73lol la tua domanda non ha una risposta scontata. Sì, ti sei spiegato bene anche perché è un dubbio che mi son posto anche io. Premettendo che non credo ci sia una scelta oggettivamente migliore dell'altra, preferirei eliminare la carta equivalente del mazzo base per mantenere l'equilibrio tra i simboli. Anche perché in uprising, rispetto al vecchio dune, cambiano due cose: 1) il simbolo verde vale molto di più (e varrà ancor di più con Bloodlines) 2) un singolo pugnale può fare la differenza in combattimento, specie nei primi round. Perciò tenersi il pugnale anziché ricognizione non è una mossa stupida. Poi è chiaro che se hai già un mazzo pieno di carte acquistate con tanti simboli diversi, fa poca differenza quale carta elimini. A quel punto la scelta è tra maggiore persuasione o maggiore forza in combattimento (e, ripeto, spesso un pugnale fa la differenza)
@@duneimperiumitalia grazie mille! Penso tu abbia ragione, sto trovando uprising molto più avvincente del base + espansioni e ritengo che in generale sia un gioco meglio congeniato. Mi è rimasto però un dubbio sorto da uno tuo vecchio video: All'epoca dicesti che all'inizio della partita, si possono fare delle "previsioni" o comunque dei calcoli, per andare a capire come fare i punti necessari per arrivare a 10 il prima possibile, per esempio 4 per le influenze + 1 per un'alleanza + un conflitto di terzo livello da 2 punti vittoria + 2 spezia deve scorrere e così via. In questo nuovo uprising non riesco più a mettere in pratica questo ragionamento, mi sembra troppo complicato andare a calcolare dove potrò essere più veloce e sicuro nel fare i punti che mi servono. Che ne pensi? Hai trovato una "linea guida" da consigliare a riguardo?
@@jake73lol risposta breve: dipende dalle carte che compri, perché ora come non mai le carte dettano i tuoi piani a medio-lungo termine. Solitamente i punti si fanno in due modi: 1) 1 perché accoppi il simbolo, 5-6 sulle fazioni e 2-3 LSDS (strategia da "pecora"). 2) 4 sulle fazioni, 2 dai simboli accoppiati, 3 dai conflitti (strategia da lupo). La risposta lunga spero di darla in un prossimo video.
