Glad to see they DQed the #132, that was some BS driving right through the #5 car like that. Not to mention all the cars that got caught up in the wreck he caused.
#91 had no reason to be pissed at the #5 car. #91 used #5 up in turn 2 and expected #5 to yield as he tried to squeeze him into the wall down the back straight. Race clean and finish the race. Race dirty and get what's coming. The mob that greeted after the race need to be asked to skip next week's race to cool off. That was a poor display, setting a bad example.
I love this class! Another good race with the exception of the #8 car running over the #20. The Flagman needs to take lessons from the kid in the stands! The kid knows how to throw double checkered flags!
That was a good race! They ran each other clean. Minus the #71 getting a bit of a jump on the re-starts. Cool Mustang! I rarely saw 71-73 Mustangs used as stock cars even back in the day!
It should be an unwritten rule by now, "If you run the bottom, stay on the bottom". #3 shouldn't have come up the track. He was not wise to expect any leniency especially after rubbing #803 from the straight all the way to turn 2
One of the reasons I built an Oakshade car and not a Toledo car.. I wanted to run full track. Not a mini on the inside. I have run paved however, love it. But I revert back to dirt track technique, (and etiquette). So...
The black #3, that driver seemed he wasn't happy unless he was outside lane door to door with another car. They all drove a great race. Does anyone know how many cars started the race?
You gotta say one thing, Lancaster does a GREAT job on their track, not a single dash of dust anywhere. (I loved that they didnt throw the caution around 4:10, have at it boys, it was ya'lls fault)
Brotger you were made to announce racing. You oainted a picture of the field from 1st to 15th. Yiu were telking me about the battle for 10th place while I watched 1 and 2 fight it out. When I was a teenager my dad drove the old wedge late models. We had an announcer by the name of Jody Tabor. He had the same style as you. It brought back memories. If you havw an opportunity to do bigger wvents. Please rake them. You are one of rhe best Ive heard and Ive been a fan for over 35 years.
Mangum threw a block on Edson then a few laps later after a restart Edson runs the back of Timbo to spin em around and cost him the win so i can kinda see why
Whomever believes NASCAR is the best racing has never watched a dirt late model race. This race was fantastic 1st - 10th was wheel to wheel and relatively clean racing. Mr. Announcer, you did a spectacular job painting a visual picture and keeping the excitement high. Keep up the good work. I wish all late models and modifieds went topless. You can see the driver working inside the cockpit. It gives you an opportunity to see how hard they work.
Thanks for posting this although it's somewhat depressing I used to run super trucks with alot of these drivers, ill never regret stepping away due to becoming a single father of 3 young daughters but now they are grown I gotta find a way back to racing ,I miss it everyday its the most competitive sport I know of and had the privilege to compete in there is nothing more fierce and exciting than short track racing ,
Few things here. #1 I'm all for settling things man to man face to face. #2 If you're going to jump into my race car and try to beat on me while I'm strapped in, buddy you're going for a f**king ride you'll never forget, and you may not live to tell the tale of... #3 If you're a crew member, STAY THE F**K OUT OF DRIVER BUSINESS.
lol long story but: I once parked in a private lot of a motel for like 3 minutes, and when I got back management was right there calling for a tow-job so I jumped in and started to take off. The guy stupidly grabbed my neck through my window. I yelled "you can't do this", he yelled "no you can't park here!", but what I really meant was "no, physically you will not be able to hold on to me" and indeed took him for a ride. He called the cops thinking he was 100% in the right, but when they pulled me over a few blocks away the officer told me they saw the security footage and straight up told ME it was self-defense, that as long as I didn't press assault charges myself they'd let us both "go on with our days" 😂
