I think everybody should stay in their own country. Civilized countries do not mix with heathens nor do we want to put up with them. As we are clearly seeing they are nothing but trouble and expense. We have our own problems without inviting more.
Dane here, and this is NOT accurate and far from the whole picture. The reason the social democrats have succes with the "strict" immigration policy, is, that they copied the far right parties. The truth is that several social democratic mayors from the western suburbs of Copenhagen started protesting back in the mid-90's. They couldn't go on receiving new immigrants, and the immigrants that already lived in Denmark, found a spouse from their home country. That couldn't go on. But the government at the time at the didn't listen to them. In 2016, the social democrats admitted the mayors of the time were right and that they failed to take action. So now they are claiming the honor for other parties' work. That Denmark is not in the same situation as Sweden, is ONLY due to the original right-wing party in Denmark and VERY different political environment. (Sorry my english). And btw the jewelry law goes for danes too.
