Hey everyone, Crow here and this is the Crow Continuum.
I’ve been making videos with a focus on gaming here on RU-vid regularly since 2009 and although many things have changed since then, there are many things that remain the same.
At the heart of it all, I just like making videos. Channel staples have been Pickup & Unboxings, Gameplay Videos with commentary, Ranking Videos, and videos where I just give my own thoughts and opinions on games and topics. More recently I’ve been doing Reaction style videos and Livestreaming as well.
Future Evercade and Pinball Related videos will be on separate channels, Crow Pinball & Crow Evercade.
So, check out some videos here and if you like what you see, I highly recommend subscribing.
Got to play this table in the Events and now understand the rules of this much better. I still prefer not to watch this series at all, but heck, I enjoy this table much more than how it was at launch.
lol your ranking system makes no sense, the video was good until you reached the end and justified a B+ based on two games, sorry but if over half the cartridge games are rated lower than D then the average is D which is what it should be rated as, two games do not justify the price of a whole cartridge of retro games, there are retro compilation games such as Atari classics which offerrs 100s of games for less than the price of a n Evercade cartridge.
Banished to the bottom of the B-tier! I reviewed it much more negativity, but (but!) I was evaluating it only as a two-player game, whereas you were evaluating it only solo.
I bought these both ROM files and they work on my Mega SD. Interesting as at least demons of, requires a custom chip, but the custom chip is suported in the Mega SD fpga core! Does not work on normal everdrives.
One of my favourite carts on Evercade, and Astebros is one of my favourite games. On the roguelite moniker here: you lose the cards and weapons you got upon dying, and a fair bit of the gold. And I think the weapons fit into this picture as well: getting a better weapon from the blacksmith for the next run costs coins.
The best Evercade reviewer on RU-vid! I'm still on Demons of Asteborg and pretty much love it. Sometimes all it takes is a well crafted, but uncomplicated indie title. Some of the bosses are crazy difficult.
Great reviews, Crow. I like these games a lot, and you are so right about that weapon selection confusion. It didn't need to be that difficult. Thanks for the video!
8:17 that’s weird that during the glitch this game created this weird rumbly farting noise sounds like something you would hear out of a vibrating massage chair
7:33 now that is definitely weird because the physics whenever it spits out from the gifts of gab it would be able to shoot out from random places. Sometimes it bounces off the flipper sometimes it goes up the Outlane and also sometimes it can actually just fly out of the machine
3:29 now the moment I got into pinball or got into liking pinball, even though I never played real machines until now I got started liking riot of pin bot and since I saw pinball effect three in Williams pinball games being on pinball effect three this makes me want bride of pinball to be in pinball effect three and I’m so happy that it’s now in there
15:13 although it does have the tower which shows the clock what I really wish to add on that enhanced feature where it shows the clock tower is that during the attract mode, it would show the real time based on the clock on your console or mobile device is set to
3:48 now there are other games that actually has midnight madness. Some are from Bally Williams, but there are others from Stern pinball like Ghostbusters and Game of Thrones and they can only be activated when the clock in the software is at 12:00 AM and whenever your pinball machine hits 12:00 AM, it would shut down and then flash 12 times along with the chime corresponding with the flash, and then the midnight madness ball starts. I know that NBA fast brake has it Ghostbusters have it there a bunch of other games that does have midnight madness
that's why I don't like the new physics, in many cases when the ball launches, then it goes straight down the outlanes or midlane. They didn't even play test it when they release the new tables! 🤦♀
Had no interest in a steamdeck. When I saw the rog ally a week before it released I ordered it. I loved and hated it. Sent it back. Bought a steamdeck and love everything about it bar the screen. And now I find myself watching sd oled videos haha. I should just buy one and get it out of my system.
Fun fact steamdecks have capacitive thumb sticks that are configurable in the settings., Adding grippers on the stick tops stops them being capacitive 🤦♂️
@CrowContinuum using Gyro for aiming you can use it with either stick as a quick toggle (thumb on stick gyro enable thumb off disable) you can map it to anything really you could map one stick to a radial menu selection then move stick to navigate radial menu remove thumb to toggle /select that radial menu option or you could set it to when both sticks touched toggle whatever , I'm still learning but the toggle gyro to aim is useful I use left stick with no touch to move and right stick with touch to quick toggle gyro for fine aim so I can keep gyro off until needed 👍
I sold my LCD Deck after getting a Legion Go. Not having the better OLED version of the Deck made me sad, but I couldn't justify paying full price for such an incremental upgrade, so I nuked the situation, lol. Legion Go has detachable controllers so you can potentially play vertical (pinball/shmup) games like with the Switch and its flip grip. On a much larger screen.
@@ChieffBooGames I think having owned both the original Deck, other OLED devices, and the Go myself, I can safely say I'm not disappointed at all. 8.8" is the ideal sized handheld screen.
@@jed1nat oled deck is improved version of the first one and worth the upgrade to me. Try it and come back and tell me about your experience. For me, I’m coming from a ps5 to the handheld space. I did not like the ally I gave it to a relative. I still have both decks. I prefer the console similarities on the deck.
I looked at Steamdecks for a while and ended up going with a AYN Odin Pro 2 and I'm so glad I went with that over this. It definitely serves my personal needs for being a strictly emulation device and that is smaller than the steam deck. I'm blown away by it and can't put it down lol
Before I even watch the video, I just wanna say... I broke down and got one too. I've always WANTED a Steam Deck, but never really NEEDED one. I'd try to find things that would be cheaper, but get me close bang for buck. I supported the Odin when it was first on Indiegogo, I've bought some Anbernic devices too. A little over a week ago, I was looking at the newer lineup of devices. The Retroid Pocket 4 Pro, and the Anbernic RG556. I want more! I like being able to play up to GC and PS2, and I wanna stream more of my Steam library! But then I realized... if I'm gonna spend all this money on handhelds, and only end up using one in the end... what am I buying the next iteration of emulation handhelds for? Why do I even want them?! Next year there's going to be more better devices anyway! That's when I finally decided to just go for it. I got the 1TB OLED. I realized I want to play my PC games portable, not STREAMING. If I'm gonna spend all this money, I might as well just DO IT and get the end all be all device for now. And now I finally "get it". I've had it for only a day, and most of the time has been setting up EmuDeck, but testing out a couple Steam games just blew me away on this thing. I'm glad I waited for the OLED to come out, but I should've gotten one sooner.
Irem is highly underrated. Moon Patrol is my quintessential arcade game. It’s just part of any legitimate arcade to me. In the Hunt still looks amazing today, and was Metal Slug before Metal Slug.
Something really cool u can do, if a game is too much for 60 fps, you can set a different NATIVE framerate in steam deck! U can set it to exaple to 40 fps, or 45 fps. If u knoiw u can get 45 + always all the time, then u can set to 45 and turn on v sync and it will be very smooth. In addition, alot of unity games have a 50 hz bug, non smooth scrolling, but if u set it to 50hz exactly, the game runs smoothly.
Yeah, I saw that you can tweak all those kind of settings, make them universal, or only apply them for one game. Pretty cool how they allow you to tweak those kind of settings.
Enjoy its phenomenal device. I find myself playing Elden ring and other games on my desktop during my days off and my deck oled on my work days. The versatility with cloud saves is incredibly convient. It’s my favorite gaming purchase.
