You did a wonderful job with this. I love how you started it out with stripped down instruments and the way you individually sang it came through, and then you started adding your own instrumentation later.
God, how I love Adam Young. He never fails to amaze me and as soon as I heard this cover, I just burst into tears. Watership down was my favourite movie of all time and I watched it 24/7 when I was a child. I had no idea that it was also one of HIS favourite books too. That alone, is really special to me, and I won’t let anyone take that from me. Adam Young, thank you for inspiring me.
Just ran into Adam Young and Owl City - absolutely new favorite! And this is my theme song! His music is fantastic and the lyrics are out of this world relatable❤
Listening to this song gives me the vibes of several other english songs that have the same key (D major) as this and similar beat / style: Shine Your Light (2023 National Day song), The Little Spark (2022 Singapore Youth Festival song) and A better place for everyone (although this Singapore Youth Festival song sounds more like 'Above the Stars' due to the pianos especially in the intro that remsembles a lot of, but this song also reminds me of this)
